  1. proprecia

Propecia shows at least 6 months to start to work. It will thicken up your top and may slowdown the front line receding.

Take care and dont loose hope. I agree a lot with what Son said.

  2. Getting a hair transplant is also a lot about personal situation. If you are single and in process of dating you would want to look good now rather than when you have lost your peak age. But yes hair transplant done after loosing substantial hair seems to yield much better results rather than transplanting in area which already has enough hair specially without shaving head because you loose more native hair

and doctor cannot see what he is doing neither can you. Its tough to painfully wait for few more years and see your hair loss progresses to being substantial before you should go for HT but I guess thats the right way.

  3. want

Actually for many people the feeling that their hair is not looking natural makes other see something is fishy otherwise only few people specially people who themselves are considereing transplants can notice the reality.

Most people specially women wont be able to make out if u dont give them too much clue. Many times even normal hair loss pattern can give people pluggy look so a slightly pluggy look is not 100 % unnatural

  4. these

Thats the problem with starting both the medicine at the exact same time. (u dont know which one is reacting to your body negatively) Atleast give two weeks time in between starting two medicine for your hairloss. Well now all you can do is to stop atleast one of them and use other very limited way just to check which one is the culprit.

  5. Once I was frustrated and asked my girlfriend that if we can send human to moon in 50s then why cant we cure hairloss in 2010 and she replied.

Human body is much more complicated than any machine. But the main reason is that hair loss is cause of genes and hormones ( both are extremely complicated and not to messed with part of body) and hair restoration is considered just a cosmetic surgery so it is not considerd worth it to mess up hormones for hair (but we are still doing it in form of propecia)

Research on stem for spinal cord correction and other serious ailments is considered ok but doing research on hair transplant is not considere worth it. But I think hair loss can have so much negative impact on individuals that it should be taken more seriously than it is by the federal and other research agencies.

I'm no scientist or doctor, but if you pin-point what's making the hair fall out - why can't you inject or re-supply what you would need to stop that process, and regrow more?

  6. I am 31 years old guy and my hair is receding slowly. The problem is my hairline is not receding so fast but it is just thinning and my temples are very much deep. Ideally I should wait for 3 or 4 more years till I have some empty area but I cant wait so long as these years are critical or stepping stone for my personal and professional life and I want to be confident and free from hair loss worries as soon as possible.

I want to go for transplant to reduce my temple and increase frontal density.

    My concerns are

    1) Shock loss in place where I have hair and the end result can even be worst than the current one (incase you have lots of hair in recepient area)

    2) If I get hair in front and then the original hair continues to recede then I will have two hairlines which will be wierd

I dont know how people who have done transplant early deal with the second problem. I dont see any blog on that. But I think its important issue. We dont have enough time and money to go for transplants every two years. Minoxidil and Propecia are suppose to work on crown but not in front so frontal hair loss will continus even on medication.

Any idea and comment will really be helpful

  7. If you have little hairloss just go with propecia and Minoxidil and a good shampoo.

(I personally like thymuskin ). But apart from propecia and minoxidil no other treatment is reliable. Its upto you to try but there can be risks and waste of money. I tried something for a while and my hair started to turn gray.

  8. One thing I find it tough to understand is how can a doctor give extrmely low hairline and even if it was there are old people who have low hairline but bald on crown so is it really worth being depressed about ? I really wish we

had pictures to see so others are carefull about low hairline issues.

All i can tell is that he bases his work on how many times he can brings you in and milk you. A 49 year old should have a receding type of hairline. I any case, I wish i had seen this weblog and your experience with this Unethical Doctor.

By the way, I 've been on medication due to severe depression because of this.

I'd stay far, far away from Dr. Elliot. Very poor experience and did not even come close to being up front with be about the possible ramifications.

  9. Very true Speegs.

I little receeded hairline in some cases makes guys more personable and approachable. If yo have a strong personality which superseeds being dictated by hairline then you wont have much problem in relations and social life but this doesnt mean trying to have good hair or look better is anything wrong. Hair is just a small part of you and just try to keep it that way.

This is obviously a major reason why I am at this forum trying to do something about it.

That's an interesting comment that runs some what antithetically to historical perception of balding men, typically they are deemed wiser since the condition is associated with age and experience.

I must concede that on some men a slight recession is cosmetically appealing and actually looks rather dignified and distinguished, even on a younger age bracket, assuming the man as a whle is full of character and charm, our hairlines can take on personalities and I think that's due to self and not the hair. We cripple ourselves when it is the hair that dictates personality.

  10. Hello Everybody, I am in MI and looking for HT. Though I dont have a huge loss but diffused frontal (2) and very deep temples. I consulted DR. Tessler and he seemed nice and advised a minor procesure but I dont see many of his patients or feeedback here. Does any one have any idea about him ?

  11. Very very right. Even extremely attractive women are confused from inside. Much more than we are. Have patience and confidence and they will give way. Rather than worrying about negative points show your good points like you have some brain, some knowledge, good in sports etc etc
