  1. I'n thinking about going the next step for a another hair transplant to restore temple angle closure, temple points, and slightly lower the hairline.

I had my first FUT with Dr. Rahal(NW2) which was a grand slam despite him not giving me temple points. Ever see someone with a strong hairline whether it be an HT or toupee but with flat sides, and no angularity? perhaps a bit of miniaturization... it looks unnatural, and fake to the trained eye.

I'm looking for a cost-friendly and reputable FUE surgeon for 1000-1500 grafts.

  2. We are talking about 2 different things here. I am talking about FUT. My procedure was FUT and so was this patient's.

Also dont get me wrong, I am not doubting Dr Rahal's ability or integrity. I know from speaking to him and his representatives that he takes pride in his work and takes every case seriously. He is currently taking my case seriously.

I am just bemoaning my luck that I had a poor result and wondering where it all went wrong.

    Perhaps you're a non-responder.

  3. Guest house hands down. Not only is it close, but it's quiet, contained, and a short distance from Rahal's clinic. Walking distance.

Post OP, interacting with people will be the least of your concerns, and the guest house is the most plausible choice in that aspect. Literally two streets over, and you're at the clinic.

Hotel is a bad choice in comparison IMO... unless you fancy guest service.

  4. Of course, this isn't even up for debate. Temple points alone yield a vast impact on our looks as a whole, the hairline, and crown that's just another part all together. In Fact, temple points are paramount towards the natural appearance of hair restoration, and are the most importance characteristic of an aesthetic result.

Iv'e seen fat losers, alcoholics who are diabetic, and not healthy by the any means who look good for their age due to the fact they have a full head of hair. Getting older, loosing skin elasticity, and becoming wrinkly is highly accentuated when you're bald, and it becomes that much more apparent, and worse then it actually is. Hair acts like a safe guard towards preserving youth, and vitality.

Regardless of exercising, and eating healthy it wont make up for a slick NW7, all though it's a step towards the right direction if being proactive is what one is after.

  5. I want to clear something up here because I think this part of it is getting overblown. Dr. Rahal designs the recipient area, harvests the donor, does the suturing, does all the numbing, makes all the incisions and plants a few grafts to see how well they place. After that, his techs plant the remaining grafts. He comes into the OR from time to time to check on things and at the end he takes a good hard look to make sure all was done properly and to his standard. What I have described here is standard protocol for almost all top doctors you will find. There are very few docs who plant all the grafts themselves and quite frankly I would not want him to because fatigue could become a factor. In my earlier post, I just meant that a few more visits to the OR by Rahal would be beneficial to make the patient feel comfortable that he is present. This would not impact results necessarily IMO but again, it gives a level of comfort to the patient.

    Rahal is king

  6. I'd be concerned to if I were in the same situation as yourself, considering the result thus far is equivalent to what I experienced around 4-5 months post OP. Might I add that I also had my surgery with Dr. Rahal. 2300 grafts for a NW2, but planted for a NW3....an advanced approach for future loss.

Id give it another shot and if it doesn't work then i'd move on

His work is top notch IMO..I'm 8 months post OP(same as yourself) (October 28th surgery) and I'm blowwwn away by the results :)

  7. On track to achieving a great result.

4-6 months you can expect kinky, wavy un-coordinated and wispy hair.

IMO the magic doesn't go into full throttle untill 7+, this is when you start to fully appreciate the magic of an HT, the hair itself thickens, becomes straight, redness fully gone, and you're re-born :)

  8. if you're over a NW4 I personally wouldn't bother with a HT unless your goal is just having hair on your head versus a full head followed by density, and coverage, which is plausible if you're a NW4 or under.

Option a) fully restore temple points with an HT, and opt for a hair system.

Temple points are paramount for having a natural appearance, and result

  9. Gratz bro.

It certainly is ....excuse my french. FUCKI@NG life changing.

outlook on life starts becoming way more positive

7 half months post OP... it just keeps getting better.

STarting to develop hair greed. perfect head of hair now, but thinking about sharpening, and bringing out temple points for maximum aesthetics

  10. Anything under 6 months is to early.

it wasn't untill I hit seven months that I was finally starting to be pleased with the results. The growth was all evident, and every graft came in but it still looked like crap hence the reason I became worrisome.

It really does only get better from here on, slowly but surely

As for redness it took me 6 - 61/2 months for it to be fully gone. Don't be alarmed
