hey buddy...nice reults...i just wanted to know how long before did you book for the hair transplant...iam also planning to have it done by Dr Radha....
About a month before. Best of luck

To be honest, your result looks very good. You had nearly nothing in the front and now you got a lot of hair. The curly hair will go away when it matures. All in all a very good result if you ask me. Best of luck and happy growing!
Thank you for your kind words.

Still 5 more months to go, so I am hoping your hair thickens up more!
At present it looks good but why your hairline have lot of curls, it is coz of your Hair style?
Good luck
Yes thats another concern i have , my native hairs were never curly/ wavy. I googled and found that it is not unusual to have this kind of growth for one growth cycle of hairs. Let me know what you think on this. My hairstyle is just simple front combing for now. I haven't started styling as yet.

Thanks for the info, man. With 4461 grafts, you gonna get a great yield as it is already evident with your current growth.
Edit: How much time did it take for your scar to heal? I just got my stitches removed yesterday. The pain is not there but when it touch it stings.
Make sure to have protein rich diet. I think it took around 1 month to heal completely. Be well. Best of luck

One thing i would like to ask, how much area did Doctor tell you she covered?
It was just less than 100 sqcm

Nice results so far. Seems like there was never a scar. The front looks good for 4 months. It's just 25% of your transplanted hair so you can assume what killer performance you gonna pull in next few months.
Thanks for your generous comments.

I'd say almost 90% transplanted follicles have fallen out.
Donor area is healing well , no trouble with it whatsoever.
For first 15 days post surgery, i used Johnsons baby shampoo and thereafter i have been using herbal shampoo. I have been on 1 mg finasteride and cod liver oil capsules daily with multivitamins 3 times a week . No minioxidil yet. Used coconut hair oil here and there but not routinely.
So thats that folks , kindly let me know how it looks. Please share your valuable feedback.
Thanks for your time.

There's hotel named "Hotel Atidhi" which is a decent hotel imo and i enjoyed my stay.
Its not top notch but if you are looking for reasonable prices , this is the place to go.
I stayed for 2 days and its walkable distance , i 'd say less than 2 km.
I think you mean sutures removal ? These can be removed 7 days post surgery.
It should definitely be possible to book the room for 15 days , please get the contact from google search "Athidi Hotels Visakhapatnam".
Good luck.

@Rawkerboi Thanks mate , yeah i will be consistent going forward.
@KO: Thank you for encouraging words.

Hello everybody ,
I would like to share my HT experience with Dr Radha Rani from Vizag, India.
Any constructive feedback or advise on my progress and advice regarding best practice postop hair care would be appreciatively received.
I have been experiencing hair loss from last 7-8 years.I consider myself Norwood 5. There's been hair loss history from both father and mother side. My back is almost full but crown is also thinning though it looks ok for now. However front was completely gone.
I have been lurking around this forum from long and after almost 2 years of pursuit of finding a good HT doctor , i settled down to Dr Radha. I was on finasteride but dosage was very inconsistent (like once/twice a week 1mg).
I checked-in at 8.30am at Dr. Radha clinic. Her assistant took a blood test.I was asked to fill up some forms. Short time after Dr. Radha arrived and welcomed me to the operating theatre.
For the strip harvesting, I was required to lie on my stomach. I was given local anaesthesia injections. My donor area hair was trimmed, ice was the donor area and in few mins, I believed the donor area was harvested. Absolutely no pain at all. Had no idea if I was being cut or stitched at any point, felt nothing at all.
After the strips were harvested and I was completely stitched up, I was asked to sit up and go freshen up if I wanted. I was given a meal,
Pre-op Dr.Radha estimated 3800-4000 grafts however after the HT procedure was completely finished, she told me she was able to extract 4461 grafts from the standard-sized strip.
Graft details:
=========
1hair : 1166
2 hair : 3085
3 hair : 210
Please share your feedback on whether this is enough grafts i would need for 4-5 years down the line ? Later i could go for second transplant.

hiii guys,
I have an appointment with Dr. Radha coming week. I have trimmed
my donor area( back side). Will that be a problem in extracting grafts???
Pls reply..
I don't think that should be a problem.

Thanks a lot for your inputs. Is it possible to join office/start working just say 3-4 days post surgery ?

Hi everybody,
3500+ grafts recommended by Dr.Radha from India. All into front hairline. Waiting anxiously for the D-day and getting nervous. Hope this decision comes good. Feel free to share any tips/experience with this Doctor. Wish me best :D

You did not mention how many grafts were used ?

Hello ,
I have been told by some colleagues that transplanted hair are vulnerable and could fall out after 1-2 years. On the contrary i googled and found out mixed opinions. Most of them say that roots are resistant to Male Pattern Baldness and they won't fall out even if they are planted on bald area.
I am bemused as to what is correct and honest opinion. I am really considering HT from Dr. Madhu/Radha/Bhatti. I want to know all the pros and cons of HT before i eke out money for HT. I was under impression that transplanted hair will never ever fall out.
Thanks for your time.

Jman,
That helps , thanks.
I've actually heard that when starting these regimes shedding is quite normal. As long as you have no negative side effects from the propecia (which I don't) they are both important to at least maintain what you have and possibly even see some improvements with new growth.By the 7 or 8 month mark the propecia should be starting to kick in and the shedding should stop. Try not to look for every hair falling because remember we normally lose many hairs everyday and that's completely normal.
Good luck bud!

Hello Mike,
Yes it does makes sense. I'd like to continue with this regimen too but the prospect of losing some more hairs just by applying minioxidil daily , makes it scary and unwanted routine. I am ok with finasteride though because i don't seem to have libido issues, however potency is yet to be tested .
Yogeshg-Welcome to the forums! As a Norwood II, you aren't currently experiencing hair loss in your crown....and unfortunately, minoxidil appears to be only effective in the crown area. At least that is the area of your scalp where the drug is intended for use. The Finasteride however acts differently than Minoxidil, and seeks to actually block DHT from binding and miniaturizing the follicle. Thus, when using Finasteride, you should see a better result in it working to help stop the loss of hair from your hairline, in addition to other areas of your scalp! Does this make sense at all? I agree with what Jman said above. As long as you aren't experiencing any negative side effects, it is a good idea to stay on the regimen you are, as the fin should help minimize further loss. Just remember, the Minoxidil is going to give you better results in your crown!
Best,
Mike

Hi everyone,
This is my first post on this forum.
I am 26 years old Norwood II male , experiencing hairloss since around 4-5 years.
I have been using minioxidil since 2 years now(once daily) including a gap of 1-2 months when i was not using it. But still while applying i get 5-6 hairs daily and then 15 while washing next day and then around 10 while combing. To be frank i don't think it's really working on me but i still stick to it hoping that things could have been worse had i not used it.
So my question is how to ascertain whether minioxidil is really working on you ?
My hairline has receded even while using it. Now i have started finasteride since 7-8 months or so. Is there something to be taken care of while applying minioxidil ? May be i am not applying it correctly ?
Regards
Yogesh.

Hi all,
These photos were taken just after hair cut. Crown area is still having considerable hair loss. Front area looks nice. These pics are of wet hair so it looks much better when dried. I am satisfied so far but crown area is concern for me. So mixed feelings but I don't regret the transplant one bit. Please share your valuable feedback.
