  1. Thanks for the advice guys really appreciate it

Haha so last night my gf's grandad had a dig at my hair . He just started looking at my hair and said ,you're losing your hair ,right? I kind of just froze and shrugged it off trying to change the subject ,but I guess he was determined to get a response from me lol So he kept repeating it and I just nodded yes ,then my gf saved me and jumped in lmao I dont mind the fact he told me my hair is thin/thinning, it's just the awkwardness when it's in front of a group of people as it was thanksgiving

I need to develope tougher skin haha

  2. Interesting ! I would consider it

I'm really impressed with dr Jerry cooleys hairlines ! He hardly does FUE though ? I wouldn't want fut for a small amount of grafts

Only what I've heard but his clinic is not as hygienic as it could be , i.e. Performing surgeries without a face mask on and no shoes on in some cases which some may seem as not a problem as long as the result is good but to be honest I'm not blown away by his results , on one of his recent posts I questioned his use of concealers/hair fibres in the results pictures which was pretty obvious to anybody his reply was that he would supply a video comb through of the patient at his 12 month follow up , my guess is the patient doesn't come in for his 12 month follow up ;)

Anyway it's only my opinion I too was initially interested in dr vories but after research I crossed him off my list , I'm down to 3 Lorenzo , lupanzula , erdogan my main thing is to try and get a. Surgeon that performs the main parts of the surgery himself and not technicians and if the 3 I've mentioned lupanzula is the only one . Will be good to meet him in jan and get a consultation I've had consultations with both other surgeons .

I've also been looking at another Spanish surgeon dr Juan couto he's got some great videos on YouTube , just very little by the way of patient testimonials and a very Spanish website . I've sent an email to try and make contact but not heard anything back .

Out of interest would you not go back to hdc ?

  3. Actually I'm really pleased to say I've maintained really well . Ive had a few ups and downs with treatments ( I dropped minoxidil for 3 months which was a big mistake )but when I'm consistent my hair is nice and thick

What are your thoughts on Vories then ?

Hi Peabody , do you think you've lost hair since your first surgey? If your looking for super soft hairlines check out dr lupanzula in Brussels ! I'm hoping to see him in London in January for consultation . I personally would avoid dr vories
  4. Totally agree ! Sometimes I actually envy the guys I see who are receding with no work done ,at least it's natural looking ! My doctor was Madras ,HDC in Cyprus

In that first pic it definitely looks pluggy, you have a lot of hair it's dense, but it doesn't look very natural to be honest, who did your surgery? If several people have called you out on it, then it's not just trained eyes that can see it. I had originally said don't do it, I have done a complete 180 on my original position, having a result that doesn't look natural is worst than being bald, being bald is natural, having an unnatural hairline is not therefore it should be fixed.

Like I said previously go to the right doctor, the zig zags your doctor did are too pronounced, it's kinda like a picket fence. Peapbody I do not say this to be mean at all so don't take it that way, only that I can understand why you would want to get it fixed, the fact that several people have accused you of having plugs or toupees is more than enough for me.

  5. Yeah it sucks! I've been called out many times.

This one time I was training a new client I noticed he kept looking up at my hair, then finally he asks me who did my hair ? Lol and My boss just randomly said you've had plugs right ?

Especially when I style my hair up it causes attention . I know I can fix it so that's what's bugging me . I think it's the gaps make it look obvious ,you never have gaps in your hair it just thins . I have gaps ,but the hair is healthy and thick so it looks stalky

Damn did this really happen? I won't lie I would be pretty wrecked if that happened to me, why would she do that, I don't understand even if you were wearing a toupee why would she point it out, she's just trying to intentionally make you feel bad. What if you asked if she was wearing a fat suit and said tug at your love handles to confirm its real. I mean wtf, I feel pissed off for you man. The hairline isn't the most natural hairline I've seen, I mean you're young so possibility still exist of needing more grafts in the future, but if people are calling you out on it and making you feel bad then go for it. I know speaking for myself I would not be cool with people saying I wear a toupee.
  6. Thanks for commenting ! Do you think Dr Vories would be a good choice ?

    Pea

I think your hair looks great. I don't really think you should lower it anymore, however if it's something you really wanna do I would say go for it. Your hair certainly looks stable and you look like a great candidate for any hair transplant procedure as it's not gonna take much.

Like someone suggested, I'd certainly go with a great hairline doctor....

  7. Kind of funny what happened today lol

I'm a part time personal trainer so naturally I work close with clients , anyway today one particular lady just keeps having a dig at my hair ! I got featured in a local magazine with a few pictures posted of me, and she immediately focused on my hair saying it looks like I wear a toupee haha Then in front of other people in the office she asks me to pull my hairline back I obviously did ,otherwise she would suspect it's a wig haha So she stared at it for a while and just said ,you've had some work done right ? I was like nooo... what are you on about haha

I think maybe the wig like appearance is from the hairline being too harsh and the fact my temple points are too far back ?

  8. Hey guys , do you think my hairline would benefit with a small touch up ? I love to spike my hair up ,but that weaker side really ruins the symmetry ! I had 2200 grafts on my hairline 4 years ago and I'm maintaining well with the drugs (I'm 33 now ).

So my thoughts are do I get a touch up now and wear my hair how I like it ,or wait years for my hair to bald more then go for a larger session . Grr I'm so close to having my dream hairline ?Help me out guys

  9. Thanks Rawkerboi , yeah I had wonderful results from fin and Minoxidil .I'm glad your hair is doing well !!!But yes I'm slowly losing the gain I held onto for many years , it was a good run though so I can't complain . Even when I had my HT the doctor told me my mid scalp was weak, and I would need more work in the future so I knew it was coming .

I know shock loss is a risk but those hairs are on the way out already , would be nice to replace them with stronger , healthier hair .

Peapoddy I know you very well, your famous thread on another Hairloss forum was very inspiring! Because of your results from medications it inspired me to start the same! 3 years down the line I am still maintaining my hair, though my main concern was temples but it did thicken up my overall hair with slight growth around temples.

No doubt you had great results but sadly now you are loosing the gain.

There is a high chance of shock loss in the area where you are thinning.

I would advise you to have online consult from top doctors and seek their advice. Few thousands gafts may do the trick!

  10. Yeah I definitely want to extend the life of my hair so I'm thinking a second pass would do the trick . I'm not sure how many grafts are required for mid scalp though

If option 1 is even an option for you then that is always the best option imho. For those who can't simply let go of their hair and think option 1 isn't an option, then obviously option 2. It's really about what makes you feel comfortable with long term.
  11. Yeah I've been on Fin and rogaine for over 5 years . I got amazing thickening results but it's slowly going back to baseline I guess .My HT + the meds has done wonders up to this point

Are you taking Fin or Dut? Fin has really thickened up my crown in the past 18 months. IMHO meds are a must for anybody that is concerned enough about their hair loss to go down the transplants route...
  12. I always knew the time would come when my native hair behind my hair transplant would become more diffused . Such a pity as I was rocking my new hairline to the max for a good 3 years! Now I'm back to using concealers for now .

My question is at what point do you commit to a second HT ? When the diffused loss is almost bare and a noticeable gap is showing ?I KNOW SHOCK LOSS is a risk so that why I ask this

In my mind I'm thinking 2 options .

1 wait for it to become so receded behind my HT and then just shave and move on

2 Go for another HT . My first session was 2000 grafts and fully restored my front .

Thank you for the advice guys I really appreciate it
