  1. Hi Dublin

Having read through the various comments I'm not sure how helpful the forum has been for you.

My personal journey was interesting and I made a few mistakes along the way including booking a surgeon in the UK without doing the research, it cost me ?500 when I cancelled.

Like you I used this forum and others to assist me in my decision but ultimately it was my decision.

I found Spex to be extremely honest and frank with me and I ultimately choose Dr Feller as I was confident from what I learned he was my best option.

I went for strip as I felt this would give me the highest number of grafts and given I was Norwood 5 I needed them.My treatment was on the 10th of August this year and can say that my scar is almost invisible backing up what I had learned on Dr Feller in relation to his work.

It's early days for me in terms of growth but the signs are good I now have new shoots coming through.

Good luck in making your decision and remember to play the long game, any inconvenience in travel is nothing when compared to the next 30years or so !

    PS I am 48.

  2. Hi Arthur

    Congratulations !

I had my treatment with Dr Feller back in August this year and can only repeat what you have said about both Dr Feller and Spex.

Spex gave me the best advise you could ask for which was to take time out, find the best surgeon for you and go for it. I had originally decided to go for a UK clinic to ease the travel but Spex advice made me look at the long term and not just about the journey home which was fine as it turned out.

My wound has healed really well almost invisible already and I am now sitting back waiting for my new hair to grow, early days still.

    Good luck

  3. Guys, this is my first ever post and really can only offer some feedback on Dr Feller. I had my own treatment in August of this year and whilst it's too early to talk about regrowth I can say that the scar has healed remarkably well and in only two months it's just about invisible already.

The best advice I received on this forum was to take the time and choose the right surgeon. I had been originally focussed on location due to concerns about travelling back home post the surgery, this was the wrong priority and thanks to Spex I took time out, cancelled an appointment I had in the UK and booked with Dr Feller, best decision I made as I am happy I have given my transplant the best chance to work.

Good luck with your next treatment !
