It is much better!! no mess, no oily feel and drys in a few minutes. Some find that they actually like they way it makes their hair look and feel. It is also less irritating to your scalp. They now have generic foam as well so it is cheaper, I get a 6 month supply from costco for like $50-$60 if I remember correctly.

Once I stopped taking Rogaine, my hair thinned dramatically. What's strange, is that on both legs, my hair starting thinning, particularly below the knee. Both legs, same exact areas.

I've added Vitamin D & Complex B (only vitamins during the day), otherwise my diet has stayed the same.

Any ideas?

Just in case the question comes up, I only put Rogaine on the top of my head!

Are you referring to Progaine Shampoo?

 

It contains no anti-hair loss solution I'm afraid so it still needs to be used with Rogaine topical or Foam.

 

I saw the shampoo in a pharmacy a few days ago.

How has the new Rogaine shampoo worked? I always disliked the dropper bottle b/c of the oily mess, dry skin, etc. How does the shampoo improve on the traditional dropped bottle?

After reading throughout the site for some time, I thought I would finally post with some pictures and a short overview of my situation with the hope of a recommendation.

I noticed my hair first thinning (not bad) in college (19yrs old) and decided to use Rogaine Extra Strength (topical) until I was 29 (last yr). After I discontinued its use, my hair started to think quickly over the next 6 months...especially in months 3 & 4.

I noticed my hairline receded and the hair on the top of my head thinned dramatically. I've attached photos I took today, which is 6 months after I discontinued Rogaine.

As I look towards the future, I'd like to grow my hair back (of course), starting with non-surgical and then moving into surgical..which seems to be the recommendation on here.

At this stage, I'm up for taking supplements, topical, shampoos and just about anything else you can recommend.

As a next step, what do you recommend?
