  1. Hmmmmm odd Roberto that you would post such a question/response after I recently posted that I've just undergone HT under Dr Path. I received more grafts for half the amount Dr Martinicks sales guy quoted. He also said I had fine hair.....turns out I have dense hair....over 600 grafts of 4-5 follicles. Over 700 grafts of 3 hair follicles. Dr Martinick may be a excellent HT surgeon but I've never met her and i wouldnt undergo surgery with a Dr that doesnt even have the time to consult with a future patient...

I'm extremely happy with my choice with Dr Path.

  2. Hi everyone just an update on my progress......I'm actually laying in my hotel bed a day after surgery with Dr Path....hotel is awesome "The Sukosol" highly recommended, close to sky train which is easy to use. Two stops from Dr Path....Iam extremely overwhelmed with my experience so far, can not talk highly enough of Dr Path and his staff, I'm also excited and schocked with what I had done, arriving with limited hope believing I was a NW6 with very limited donor area to finding out I was a NW4-5. Thinking I would only have enough donor hair for 3000 grafts and only enough to frame my face. Finding out I had excellent donor hair with plenty of 2,3,4 and 5 hair follicles. Ended up with 4100 grafts with 10,400 hairs being transplanted in 8hrs which covered almost my entire balding area....

I would like to thank everyone who helped me with making such a wise decision in choosing Dr Path....now just the long wait for the real results. I will post pics ASAP

  4. Awesome feedback I'm think I'm going to transfer the money before I go....I'm booked in for the 11.10.12. So only three weeks away. Again awesome feedback, has really lifted my confidence in going through with this procedure.

  5. Wow thank you very much, yea i suffer from severe depression because of my hair loss, a recent break up with my girlfriend has pushed me into this life changing surgery.......i found out after we broke up she told her friends she was never really that attracted to me :( Killed me and i blame my hair loss.

I have booked in with Dr Path for the 11th Oct, im probably only going to stay for the minumum amount of time and get my local GP to remove the stitches/staples.

I really dont know what to expect as im a Norwood six with limited donor area

I was thinkning about transfering half of the money into Dr Path's account before leaving and taking the rest in cash...

    Thank you for your reply

  6. Hi any advice would be muchly appreciated.....ive decided to under go my hair transplant and have booked a date with Dr Path in Thailand. Im after advice on Hotels, best way to pay for treatment and most of all if anyone who has had hair transplants from Dr Path is willing to meet up with me so i can see his work first hand. I live in Sydney

This is a big decision as can be appreciated...just a bit scary going in blind, paying a whole heap of money, flights, accomodation etc without even knowing what to expect.

    Thanx

  7. Hmmm what a day.....Long and short of it i went to see Dr Martinick and Dr Knudsen today two very different experiences. Didnt see Dr Martinick but rather a sales guy who coincidentally seemed to know what i was thinking, it was almost like deja vu. lol He gave me a idea of what it would cost.

On the other hand Dr Knudsen was straight to the point, gave me a presciption for Propecia. The quote was less than Dr Martinick and he seemed more realistic. Dr Knudsen also wrote down the figure and gave it to me...but here is the thing when asked about Dr Path he said that he and Dr Path new each other, that Dr Path was a great surgeon and that the only down fall was that he was overseas....!!!!

  8. Yea that seems to be what everyone is saying...Dr Path looks good, didn't know who he was at first lol. But once I figured it out I realised I'd already researched him. Just deciding either traveling to Canada or closer to Dr Path. How do they compare?? Hasson and Wong look very impressive from the before and after pics, but also very expensive. Any more advice on Dr Path would be muchly appreciated.

  9. Hi everyone,

Ive been researching the forum for some time now and ive just become a member, love the site.

i would like advice from Aussies on hair transplant as i live in Australia..

i have two appointments this Wed, one with Dr Martinick and the other with Dr Knudsen

Ive already done a online assesment with Hasson and Wong, the advice given was that i needed 4000-4500 grafts with a posibility of a second operation in the future for my crown.

i would like to know about experiences with the Aussie Doctors, or any recommended doctors closer than Canada or USA..

    Thanks
