  1. Heal well and happy growing! Just a piece of advice....don't keep on looking in the mirror..let nature do its work. This is now the most difficult part of an HT...and as I was told once..remember the three important numbers...6, 12 and 18 all of them relating to months after transplant and each one will reflect each stage of transformation.

  2. Having had a successful HT (3800-FUT) 2 years ago, I decided to enhance the results of the first attempt.

I had an extra 3000 follicles and this time, we addressed the sides/temples adding more density on the right hand side of my head and at the crown.

This time round, the anxiety over an HT was a lot less, having experienced and seen the results of the first one. It was a very long day but everybody at Farjo's made it feel like a walk in the park.

Went away on Hols 4 days after the surgery wearing a hat under the sun and avoiding contact with water (apart from the daily washing and following the instructions to the letter). Worth noting that there was a very slight swelling (barely noticeable) from day 2 to day 4.

Returned and had my staples removed 12 days following the procedure. At that time, there was quite a lot of implanted hairs in position. At the same time, I noticed that two lymph nodes at the back of my head had some minor swelling a few centimeters below the scar. Given that everything else was alright and had no other symptoms, this swelling was attributed to the staples and perhaps the stretching of the skin at this location.

25 days following the surgery, nearly all transplanted hair has shed, as expected (and as per my last experience. Some local redness around the temples still exists, the lymphnode swelling is history and I have resumed my normal routine.

Once more, the only comment I received from some people was that I haven't got the same amount of tan following my holidays. The whole thing is not detectable (unless you know about it).

Well, now is the waiting time, but I am not expecting to see a lot, if anything for at least another 2 months.

  3. A long journey but it is worth the effort. Over the last 22 months everything rolled very smoothly. From the painful (psychologically) first few months full of impatience to the excitement from month 5 onwards.

The estate is gone and I can't wait for the second HT which will address the back plus some more density at the top. This is scheduled in less than two months from now...hurray..

One useful message to all of you who want to go for a HT. Research, research research, patience, patience, patience and above all be realistic!!!

  4. I hope it works out for you mate. I consulted with Dr Bhatti about 1.5yrs. He is very friendly and he gave me some advice. But having looked at various fora about HTs, i asked the lady at Transform for the Dr's CV. I wasn't pleased by the response. In the end i received something that showed that Dr Bhatti performed 250 HTs only. That was it, I turned my back to Transform and in the end i had my HT three and half weeks ago with Dr Farjo, having consulted with a number of doctors in the UK and abroad.. Everything seems OK at the moment. Please, I am not trying to say that Dr Bhatti is not a good surgeon, but there are not any reviews about him and his work. Hope that everything works out for you. Good luck and keep us posted.

  5. I would also definitely consult with Dr Farjo in the UK. Had mine done (FUT) nearly two weeks ago. Scabs off now..a lot of spikes still on...i know it is too early to judge, but so far i have been impressed by his approach. Also from the moment I decided to proceed with him, till th e moment I could have my HT, it took me 7 months..this is the waiting list..does that say something? All other UK clinics i talked to, were offering the surgery in as soon as 2 weeks time...no comments...but again as i said the experience so far was great...worth paying a visit.

  6. Well,

The story is more or less very common to most of us. Started losing hair by the early 20s. Tried everything to stop it or reverse it but as someone once told me...the only thing to stop hair falling from your head is.... the floor.

Three years ago, I started using Minoxidil. In the beginning the results were great. But over the last few months I noticed that my hairline..if I could ever say that I still have a hairline...was approaching the back side of my head.

I then considered a transplant. After countless of hours searching on the net, making enquiries, talking to various people and having visited a lot of clinics both in the UK and abroad, I was introduced to Dr Farjo.

To keep the story short... I decided to have a transplant at his clinic. The surgery took place two weeks ago...needless to say that I felt virtually nothing.

First few days, no pain, no swelling, no dizziness..OK the staples were a little bit annoying...however, the whole process was, a very pleasant experience..yes I dare say it, especially after I look at myself in the morror and see all these nice spikes of hair coming out of my scalp...I had forgotten what it feels like.

I know I am still at the beginning of a very "painful" process, in the sense that these spikes will probably fall and new hair will hopefully come out in 3-4 months...but having had an HT, I would definitely recommend the procedure and the clinic...

    Fingers crossed then.

    So more photos of me..soon
