sorry, the number of posts someone makes does not make them an expert on hair transplants
if Plausibleboss had made 10 years of posts, his argument still hold no water
ignore him
the result is fantastic! even from this top-down angle pic you can tell the whole front of your hairline has transformed the way others will see your face
congrats
Really ? And what's your definition of fantastic ?

Pulled the link from youtube while looking for some HT.

'Sexual side effects have only been reported (officially) in 0.3 - 2% of Propecia users,'
This is a laughably inaccurate statistic conjured up from Merk. If you discontinue it your sides should go away. There is a small % in which they are permanent. The label now states this as a risk.
It can take the guts of a year for some people. Can this junk, You have no idea what it is doing to your body and hormones. Try other alternatives and a HT.
There will be a better and safer alternative to finasteride on the market 'hopefully' in the next few years.
Propecia is a Poison for anybody who care about his plumbing.

Hi all,
I have been reading these forums for a while now, and finally signed up. Quick lowdown: Been losing hair since I was 19 (started with receding temples) took fin for 5 years then stopped due to sides.I am now 28, and have recently started fin again and so far so good. I am also using Minoxidil foam 2x daily.
I have had a quote from Dr Feriduni for 2500 fue to frontal area (zones 1,2,3) which sounds reasonable. I also am due to have a face to face consultation with Dr Feriduni in a couple of weeks.
I am just wondering about my crown area? Do you think it would be a mistake to have any grafts on the crown at this stage? I have attached some pics. Opinions appreciated!
Dude, Please do not take finasteride. It's a poison that will mess up with your hormones. I have been on fin for 6 years and stopped cold turkey. It did so much damage that it took me more than a year to get my hormones level to normal.
The claim of only 2% of users getting sides by Merck is absurd and load of crap. You never know the extent of damage this medicine can cause when someone is on this pill for several years.
What's more funny that this pill doesn't even work for most of the people in even stopping hair loss let alone hair growth.

This gentleman in his early 50's came to Dr. Arocha with severe crown loss. He had a 3031 FUT procedure. The after photos are taken one year following his procedure. He is currently on a medical regimen consisting of Propecia, which has not proven to regrow any hair, but has stabilized the hair loss in the crown.
You can view the complete album Here.
Severe crown loss ?
You should take a look at some of the H&W, Bisnaga and Feriduni results who achieved twice as much as density with 2/3 of the number of grafts. Just google crown results for these clinics.
This is one execrable result.

How is this a nice FUE case? In the pre op pic, the person has short hair and he is wearing long hair in the post op picture.
How can somebody tell the difference when the pre and post op pictures are not consistent. I don't understand why some clinics don't put the uniform pre and post op pictures.
-
no hes not. not even close. if I were to chose one or the other id say bisinga
Totally agree with you. Work by Bisnaga and Feriduni are second to none. I have seen work by Shapiro and it looks execrable from the number of grafts he use and they use motorized punch.
If anybody is thinking of getting a FUE, only 2 choices.
Bisnaga and Feriduni

You seem to have some kind of vendetta against Dr. Umar?
It is the result which they claim "awesome". 10K grafts for this kind of result is like a buying a blackberry torch for the price of iphone & galaxy together.
-
And this is what they call as crown restoration. They should pick some leaves from H&W, Bisnaga & few others to see what is called as crown restoration.

It's amazing how much younger someone can look with a well done hairline. Take a look at this patient.
Dr. Umar used 10,000 grafts extracted from the nape and head using his uGraft technique in Follicular Unit Extraction. He also designed this particular hairline as the best looking match for this patient's facial structure.
The nape hair is thinner than head hair. This is what makes it ideal for hairline restoration.
Here is the link to this patient's video testimony: Crown and Hairline Restoration With 10,000 Grafts Using FUE Hair Transplant | DermHairClinic
Dr. Umar also replicated the natural angle and direction of hair in the crown region of this patient as you can see in the video.
If you are interested in learning more about FUE hair transplant procedures, here is a helpful article.
WTF is this result? Hes still BALD.
Assuming dr umar who charge an exorbitant ridiculous $8 per graft, the guy was better off throwing 80 grand and buying a maserati.
Its not awesome but abysmal.

This case is a bit more mild than what one usually sees out of our clinic. This patient first came to see us in 2009. He wanted his hairline slightly lowered in the corners and the front of his scalp thickened. 4298 grafts were used in one procedure to accomplish his goals.
Ten months later he came back in and had a second procedure to rebuild his temple points, just slightly lower the hairline a bit more, and to thicken the crown. 2272 grafts were used to accomplish his goals.
The result seen is 2.5 years post-op and I have put together a series of photos showing each stage of his progression. In each photo set the top left image is before any surgery and the top right image is ten months after. The bottom left image is the second procedure 3 days post-op and the bottom right is the final result as of last month.
This case represents just another example of how the lateral slit technique, when performed properly with custom cut flat blades, allows for a large number of grafts to be safely placed in between existing native hairs thus avoiding permanent shock loss.
Outlanding result by Dr Hasson. He's an artist. Nobody can come close to even 50% of achieving such a great result.
I wish you guys were doing FUE too.

This patient came to us from LA in September, 2011 to have as much of a reconstruction as possible. Dr. Wong and his team transplanted 4500 grafts in one procedure. The results photos and testimonial were compiled a few weeks ago before the patient made a move half-way around the world and he sent them to us a few days ago after he got settled in.
Great result as always from H&W. Totally out of the ballpark.

Hair line reconstruction done for a 40 yr old Asian male who presented with class IV A Androgenetic Alopecia. Dense packing (50 grafts per sq.cm) done behind the hair line with 2802 FUG. Results are 9 months from surgery
one hair grafts - 645
two hair grafts - 2129
three hair grafts - 28
total grafts - 2802
total hair - 4987
2900 grafts for such a small work? No wonder result might look good. Any plans to mitigate the risk when he runs out of donor?

Plausibleboss,
No disrespect but i have to agree with spanker. If you honestly believe there are only 2 surgeons worth visiting then you obviously dont know anything about HT's and more importanly you are sending out the wrong message to the guys wanting to research on the forum.
Your last statement ended with " And i know what im talking about" So what makes you a subject matter expert after 2 posts?
No disrespect to you and Spanker,
Can you please show me some links (HT results) just so that I can educate myself ?
When I say about HT results I'm talking about a reasonable nice transformation (NW 4/5) to NW 2/3 by others but NOT the results by adding 3k grafts to somebody who already has a 80% complete head of hair.
-
You actually sound exactly like you don't know what you are talking about.
You should probably step back and regroup and try to start over. For that to be your first post, it was not a very good one.
Whether you like his result or not, for you first post with no background to say "ONLY H&W will give value for money" and it "HAS to be Feriduni" is a pretty ignorant statement.
I really don't think so .. that I need to step back. I stand by what I said. I dont want to sound rhetorical but it was my opinion not a ignorant statement.
-
Thanks mate, I appreciate it
Dude Good to know that you're glad to see improvement but I'm not able to see much difference between before & after transplant considering 2400 grafts and 16 months.
It doesn't really look a great HT to begin with.
If you go for strip -> only H&W give value for money
If FUE -> it has to be Feriduni
And I know what I am talking about.

Then why do take a medication that at the best can give half baldness instead of full baldness with impotency as a bonus?
