  1. While we are on the subject of Donor scar healing ??“ I am three weeks out and on the far end of my scar I have a swelling that hasn't subsided. I had the dissolving stitches and staples in my head. I kept the staples in for 9 days. Before they were removed the swelling was like a small bird egg. I reported it by phone to the HT Surgeon and the receptionist relayed the message. My apt. to have the staples removed was made with my local doctor so the receptionist informed me to have it examined then. My local doctor didn't take my appointment and I was consequently scheduled with a nurse who removed my staples. The nurse said there was no discharge or appearance of any infection but that I was to keep an eye on it (a little difficult when it is on the back of my own head). Since the staples were taken out the bulge has gone down considerably' date=' but I am still a little worried. I've never had a bump on my head last this long. The spot is now the size of a dime and it hurts when it is pressed on. I expect this swelling can easily occur and that it is just probably a pinched gland.... Has anyone else experienced this? I am mostly bothered because it seems like any abnormality like this would affect the healing process and how noticeable the scar is going to be later on. If it were flush and without the bump I would have a better chance of the scar healing properly.[/quote']

I have the same painful bump on my head since several days. Anyone else experienced this? how long does it take to go away?

  2. Rod and All,

Just had my surgery 2100 grafts with Dr Radha yesterday and wanted to give you short feedback. This is my second surgery, the first one I did at a recommended Doctor in Belgium. But this time the goal was to increase density on my forehead and in the temples. I have to say, Dr Radha and her team did an absolute amazing job. I was really convinced about my first Doctor in Belgium, but after having had a second surgery with Dr Radha, I feel that the quality was even higher. She and her team have an absolute attention to detail, discuss everything with you, and execute everything in professional manner. She had a blackboard that was constantly updated with figures such as when I took which medicine, when I had breakfast and lunch, when the first grafts where separated etc. I thought that was really impressive. Anyway, will post stuff once I get pics. Two thumbs up from me!

  4. Hi Folks,

I had a 2500 grafts done by Dr Devroye (Belgium) three years back, and to save some $ I am now thinking of going for a second transplant somewhere else. I was looking into Dr. Path in Thailand but the cost was just to steep for me. I am now pretty set on Dr. Pong and are just about to do an appointment with him. I have read only good things so far about Dr. Pong (but did not do to much research to be honest). I know he is not recommend which is making me a little nervous. Would anyone have any concerns going to Dr Pong?
