  1. Congrats on your HT with Dr.Radha.

I was at Radha's clinic exactly on your HT day, as i came for a general check-up after 2months.

However i couldn't see you as you were in a different room. :-)

I hope everything went well for you..and i would advice you to be patient and relax until 7 or 8months without worrying too much.

All the very best and Happy growing..

  2. Rockstar,

May I know what medicines you use? I started Finasteride by Dr.Reddy's about a week after my surgery. But I'm having a hard time in picking Minoxidil. Just too many options, with different makers, brands and strengths, and with no knowledge on which is best. May I ask indian users here, what Minoxidil they use? Also, when is it safe to use Minoxidil after HT?

I am taking Finpecia 1mg (Cipla Product) and Tugain 5% foam(Cipla Product).

started Finpecia right after HT and started Minoxidil Foam 30days post op.

    Hope this helps..

  4. At one month post-op, even i am having the same issue.

However i understood that it is not skin but a layer of Dandruff/Mud which is formed over the head only in the transplanted area.

I believe the reason for this is that i was very very gentle with my transplanted hair even after 15days so i think the mud/Dandruff was not properly washed off from the transplanted area and hence the white layer.

Now, when that layer comes off the head, it brings down some hair with it. I am assuming that the hair which is coming along with this layer is the transplanted hair which should have actually fallen off but bcoz of this layer forming over that transplanted hair, it didnt fall off till now. So i hope everything is fine.

But we would like to hear from any senior members on this forum or any coalition doctors or any person who has undergone HT and faced similar kind of issue to provide some valuable suggestions of how to come out of this and does this effect the growth of transplanted hair.

    Please Suggest. Thanks.

  5. Hi Litesport,

There is no swelling what so ever. Everything is normal in the transplanted area.

I am also very much eager to cut the sides. But i was advised by Dr.Radha to wait for 30 days before cutting the sides.

As you said, i think she is extremely busy now a days with lots of patients. Hence the response might be delayed.

  6. Looking at the pics, your Hairloss is predominantly at the temples area..

You can easily have a great result with minimum number of grafts.

As AllAboutHair has already suggested, start using some medicines so that your existing hair will remain from falling or atleast will slow down falling.
