I had a HT about two years ago and my 6-month-old likes to grab hair and pull. He did it to me a few weekss ago. While I didn't see any pulled out hair, I'm curious whether pulled out transplanted hair grows back. Perhaps a surgeon can reply?

An entire thread re Dr.Feller was locked, another deleted. My posts in two Dr. Feller threads were deleted (I didn't attack Dr.Feller in them, but questioned the independence or bias of this forum insofar as paying (recommended) HT doctors go). Corvettetester wad even banned for his critical appraisal of Dr. Feller's behavior.

Anyway, I'm exiting this thread. This forum is what it is.

I can't provide material evidence that my posts were deleted as my account has no administrative privileges. Any other proof is no proof, so what do you want? Are you saying that no posts on this board have ever been deleted?

You're disengeniously asking the impossible from members: proof that posts were deleted.

I don't know why you're putting deleting inside quotation marks. The fact that you didn't see it doesn't mean that it didn't happen. Several of my posts were deleted in the Dr. Feller threads (my posts weren't defamatory or malicious; rather, they dealt with the administration of this forum and its independence). Bill usually deletes them as soon as they appear, maybe that's why.

How long before Bill deletes this post like he usually does with critical posts re a recommended (ie paying) doctor or himself?

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately it's not a function of the comb I'm using and I keep my hair fairly short. But again, it's not a major problem.

Sometimes when I comb my tangled transplanted hair after a shower I migh see a hair or two on my comb.

Let me put it this way, I have no regrets whatsoever that I got a HT. On the contrary, I feel a sense of relief and joy that I'm no longer bald.

I think you're a N6. If I were you, I'd go with a procedure. A Benz will not help your appearance. In my case, I was just too depressed to keep shaving my head like that. I grew to despise that look. You can always get a Benz at some point in the future.

You will need at least 5000 grafts, so you should look into surgeons who can perform such large procedures.

I'm a level 6 and needed 5200+ grafts to kill the bald look to my satisfaction (and I still have the crown area that needs to be covered but at least I'm no longer bald). You're far more advanced than I was, so I'd say that you'll need around 6000 to 7000 grafts to show some real results. If you don't have that, I fail to see the point of getting a HT. 1800 grafts is a laughable amount in your situation.

When you choose Dr. Rahal, you know you've picked the best of the very best. On the plus side, he's humble, honest, low-key, and doesn't gouge his patients like a mercenary leech. What more can you want? He has left the competition flat-footed and disoriented.

Yes, it's like distinguishing between a Caravaggio and a Bernini. The specialist can certainly distinguish the work of Dr. Rahal from the work of Dr. Hasson. They're obviously not interchangeable.

For the record, I'm a Norwood VI (I think) and what Dr. Rahal has been able to do with just 5200 grafts is miraculous. I still need to cover the crown area, however, but the repulsive bold look has been killed and buried.

The word "genius" has always had a much broader application and was never confined to strictly intellectual pursuits (Federer is a genius in the same sense that Beethoven or van Gogh were a geniuses, all can understand that). Athletic ability and skill at that level is certainly worthy of such accolades.

Federer has won 16 grand slams (on all surfaces), more than any other player in the history of tennis. We might have a different definition of "genius".

It's simply impossible to go wrong with Dr. Rahal. He's someone who wants to be the best in the world at what he does. I'd say that Dr. Rahal is the Federer of hair transplants.

C posts in Feller threads were well-argued and highly articulate. The members of this community aren't low IQ children and can determine whether what a contributor says is accurate or not. Additionally, Feller, his reps, and other contributors can always attempt to rebut and set the record straight - that's the beauty of online fora. I believe that Bill's action has hurt his credibility and that of this forum.

To suggest C has an nefarious "agenda" against Feller is ludicrous. Like many, he's simply appalled at Feller's treatment of former patients and at some troubling behavioral idiosyncrasies.

Of course not. The motivation behind his ban as stated by Bill is that he was "biased" against Feller. Even if true, so what?

I don't care if you like Feller or hate him the man is a GREAT surgeon and I don't want to see someone to overlook him because of a post they read and end up going to a hack.

This is a straw man. The alternative to Feller is not a hack but rather a recommended surgeon without Feller's problems.
