  1. I would suggest trying a different hairstyle. There is a sweet spot in terms of hair length that provides the best layering effect and coverage for a HT and yours is just a bit too long, imo. A shorter, messy look (with temple corners styled forward) I bet would work wonders. Remember, a HT rarely restores your actual density, so we're creating an illusion of fuller hair, and style has a lot to do with that.

Find yourself a good stylist (this will cost a bit more than your average barber) and don't be shy about explaining your situation. Not sure where you live, but in the New York area we have plenty of high-end men-only barbershop/salons that see lots of HT work. I found one and she totally understood the best way to maximize the hair I had and style it so it looked hip. Best of luck and good growing to you!

Thanks!! i will try to stylize it different, il go to a stylist this weekend, i actually got a new haircut, which helps a bit to mask it, but what i keep thinking is that , the immediate post op photo looks so full of grafts, that as of right now, have not grown, i mean if i had to shave my head and it looked like the post op i would be very happy with the result

  2. How do you feel about it? Big growth jump from 5 months. I don't know how I feel about the temple points. hopefully them fill in a bit more, but over all, you have come a good distance.

thats how i feel spanker, i actually got the procedure to thicken out all my temple, and its not filling up, i dont know what to do....

  3. WELL IM 5 MONTH POST OP TODAY AND THIS IS HOW IT LOOKS SO FAR !

im posting a pic with a progress of images, am i slow? is this something to worry about, my temples dont look like they are filling up , kinda worried here

  4. OH OK! i was freaking out here, and its my third HT , ive been less paranoid about this new HT because of work and been busy and besides i i took extremely good care so yesterday that i noticed i hit the 3.5 month mark and didn't see growth i started to freak out, thanks guys, hopefully i star seeing some growth in the next couple of months! i want my temples to fill in as good as it looks immediately post op, thats my main goal! :):):)

and yeah exactly like you guys say, im back to baseline, it looks like i took my pre-op and my 3.5 month mark at the same time, they are identical

  5. OK 2 Month Mark

Dr. Keene says everything is as expected, got a few pimples and ingrown hairs so she prescribed me 10 day treatment of doxicicline, it helped a lot, wel this month is boring just waiting for month 3, now im using more caps and going out a little bit more , got back to the gym , everything back to normal i guess.

i have a question do the pimple endanger my grafts? when i had to put the warm towel on top of them for them to drain then clean, does that mean i lost some grafts their? at 5 week post op?

  7. Congratulations! You've come a long way! Keep us posted on your latest journey!

    Thank you!

Well i just hit the 3 week mark, and lots and lots of shedding, i think im going well, never bumped my head, my grafts went well the whole healing process, i think it went good, im going to use a cap today so im happy lol, and now just wait for the growth!

  8. Wow, look's really good, I didn't realise you can get so many grafts implanted without shaving your head!

    HI!

i did not have all those grafts at the same , they were 3 procedures two were in 2006 and this one was 3 weeks ago

i didnt know about the whole shaving head, my only pre op instructions was not to have a hair cut 7 days before my HT :)

  9. So out of all 3 of ur hts how many grafts did u get in total?

My first one was 1800 grafts

my second one i think it was 2200

and this new one was 2100

wow as i was seeing my pre any surgeries pic, i had no hair whatsoever! amazing, and happy with the results so far, still got 1 exciting year of growing :)

  10. Your hat cannot damage your grafts and the hairs placed are supposed to come out. You can potentially cause more damage by being TOO careful at this point so just go about your daily routine normally and wear a hat if you wish.

Thank You Very Much Jotronic!! i appreciate it a lot!! yeah i know i got to be less paranoid about everything and stop looking in the mirror every freaking moment

  11. Ok so yesterday i used a cap for the first time for about four hours, it did touch my recipient area and i did not like that and it also rubbed against my sides of the grafts since they lowered my hairline, Dr. Keene said it was ok since my grafts are secure now and that i could not pull them out by this stage, but still ive been shedding like crazy so once i took my cap off i saw some few hairs and freaked out, and on one side (left= i felt less hair were the cap was sitting on since the lowere my sides too, dont plan on using a cap anymore, id rather look weird with my haircut. i am very paranoid, want everything to go as perfect as it can be.., but do you guys think it was just shedding at this stage or could i have pulled them out?

i hate the paranoia that goes on after a hair transplant , LOL

  12. My Two Week Post Op

Well some shedding has passed, and even though its my 3rd procedure i still get very paranoid when the hair falls off, i always think its never coming back lol, hopefully it is, not much scabs which is new to me last time i had tons, not this time... dunno why... other than that i guess everything is going well.

  13. Hi i have a quick question, im day 11 post op, and i was taking a shower and when i filled my cup to rinse the shampoo, the water was only hot i forgot to open the cold water, it didnt burn my scalp or anything like that was only very hot LOL, can this disrupt my grafts at day 11 or not a chance? it did help remove some scabs since i have had trouble getting them loose though.
