  1. Hi there,

Just wondering what are some online sites to get LEGIT Merck Propecia these days? What have you heard/used thats good?

I've heard of unitedpharmacy and alldaychemist, but they only seem to carry generics.

I'm looking only for the Merck stuff. Yes I know about proscar and fin, but I just have a personal preference for Propecia. And the site needs to be able to ship to Europe or Asia.

    Much thanks!

  2. are we allowed to choose whether to get a wider vs longer scar? or do docs only perform one method?

I'm thinking that if I progress in my hairloss and am forced to shave my head, from what i've seen, a wider scar (kinda like Jamie Foxx's small scar) looks less noticeable than a longer smiley face scar on a bic'd head.

  3. imho, if you pulled off the alpha-male Jason Statham look (ie. i'm bald but dating Rosie Huntington and look way more alpha than you), you're a very lucky guy. I wish I could, but too lazy to hit the gym.

Knew a coworker who always buzzed his head, got fue for a hairline, and continued to buzz to a 1 afterwards. Looks sleek and cool. But he always had that jock attitude and I bet his girlfriend wouldn't let him get an anchorman/slightly thinning hairstyle.

On the other hand, you're also booked with the best doc, so good results are almost guaranteed. Besides, you can still buzz to a 2 which will usually hide the scar well. I don't think you can go wrong with either decision you make.

  4. coworker of mine had it and he buzzes his entire head to a 2 guard (or sometimes even 1) no problem. But he only got 2000+ grafts.

I've researched other forums with more fue users and the consensus people buzz to a 2 guard, some more some less.

There are a few users here who recently got fue, and they're forced to shave to a 0 guard for the surgery. As the hair grows in, you can see how it looks at different lengths.

  5. What's the general consensus on when you can return to your normal shower routine after a HT? Is it usually 1 week or 1 month?

Also, is it better to shower once/day or once every other day when you return to your normal shower routine? Once a day seems better to clean the grafts, but afraid it might dry out the grafts.

  6. don't think 2000 would do.

coworker of mine had similar loss to you and got like 1800 fue for just the front and temples (though hairline was pretty agressive), then shaved. Its a really cool look though.

By doing the whole head would require minimum double right now, plus more HT in the future as native hairs in the crown miniturize.

I dunno, send pics to some docs and they can give you a much better estimate.

  7. You look pretty thin throughout the whole top. If you want, get FUE to rebuild your hairline and frame your face, that way you can still shave down but improve the look.

Once you get the scar, you'll be fighting HT after HT since you'll be forced to a longer hairstyle (potentially combover), cause you're still young and your HL will likely progress. Since you look decent with an army-like shaved head (and your friends/family are used to it), just repair the hairline shadow.

  8. No comparison. Buzzing down an HT to zero guard makes all the sense in the world for a balding guy. If the hair is strategically placed to break up the empty forehead by defining a hairline and temples, and then gradually faded its a great solution for a guy with little available hair for donor. The hair sits under the skin and creates a shadow. A lotta people say FUE is no good for NW6s etc, but for this reason I think it is good, because the buzz can be done (even if it is a shade longer at the back)

I think in future years, we will see a lot of guys will plan to both have an HT AND shave their heads and quite a few will look better for it. I'm not saying I like the hairstyle itself, but a horseshoe shadow sucks big time in color contrast situations.

    This is so true!!!

I've recently seen a coworker do this and it looks really awesome. It totally changed my mind. He got FUE to define his hairline (frame his face), then buzzed down. He doesn't have to care about the crown since the hairline shadow is what defines your Look & Age. It looks so much better and is much easier than people who have to fight every 5 years to get HT after HT since they can't buzz down anymore and are headed for norwood 5+.

Getting a HT to frame your face then buzzing down makes you look young and dangerous =P. Of course, buzzing down WITHOUT a decent hairline shadow makes you look old.

Even observing older guys with thinning crowns who shave their heads, as long as the hairline is well defined, it makes it seem as if they shaved their heads by choice, not by circumstance.

Anyways, this is something i'm gonna do since it looks cooler and its mentally draining thinking about needing multiple HTs in the future.

  9. I've seen some pretty amazing results from FUE with much less grafts, i'm wondering if there is another cause of your hairloss or maybe you're not on meds?

"I hope I can get more than 2000 because the center part of my donor where the strip goes is still really thick because not too many grafts were extracted."

Usually the FUE grafts are taken from the same area (back of head below bone to side of ears) so its kinda awkward how this part can still be thick. I'm really wondering where the FUE was taken.

I would just go with 1500 grafts to thicken up the hairline and frame your face. You've got existing coarse hair there and I think 1500 should be enough. Or maybe contact Dr. Umar to see if he can do BHT to increase density for you.

I'm also interested who your doctor was, you should have got a lot more density with 8000.

  10. Wow,

can anyone pls tell me how he got such good clean results only a few days after surgery?!?

vs. what he had before the transplant:

    2.jpg

From these pics, besides the scar on the right side, its hard to tell he got anything done...it looks like he's just a skinhead with a scratch. The left side hairline looks so clean like nothing was done, but from his pre-op photos, obviously the hairline was transplanted.

Can any reps chime in. Usually when I see patient post results 1 week after surgery, their head is full of nasty puss and blood scar, etc....but how does Rooney look so clean and normal?

Also, the top of his head doesn't look diffused at all anymore, but no redness from transplant either.

I would love to look that clean a few days after surgery.

  11. Choice down to either Dr. Shapiro or Dr. Rahal for a FUE transplant, is the "obvious" answer Dr. Shapiro?

I need about 3000-3200 grafts (prefer everything done within a week).

The thing is, I actually live about 25 minutes from Rahal's office and know he's got great strip work, but is it better to trust Dr. Shapiro (maybe Bisanga) for FUE due to more client feedback here?
