  1. Yeah dude, a lot of people have been talking lately about Dr. Harris as one of the top FUE docs. I haven't gotten a chance to check him out yet, but I definitely will soon.

I did, however, glance at his website and it doesn't mention what he charges. You started this thread mentioning the importance of value for you, so when you do get the rates, let us know.

So long as you stick with coalition docs, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

I'm jealous about Colorado. I've been cooped up in NYC too long!

lol But I was in New York City recently and there is nothing like it in the world. Even though my old neighborhood is still crap; it still felt good to mix in with the natives.

Anyway, I did see on Dr. Harris website that he list the Chase Health Advance

Hair Loss, Hair Transplants, Hair Replacement, Hair Restoration - Hair Sciences Center, Denver Colorado, Dr. James Harris, MD, FACS

to apply for a loan. I rather do that than use my credit card payments. I have excellent credit but will be working on a home purchase in Colorado as well.

Also, the Mrs. says she loves me for who I am and should just shave it off but I told her its about me and how I feel. It has nothing to do with her continuing to love me after 20 years being together lol.

Since I am in the military, I just do not want it to be noticeable when I report. I am going to be stationed in Colorado.

I forgot to mention if I can use Chase for any of the other reputable doctors listed on this website.

  2. I recently had 934 grafts transplanted by Dr. Harris in Denver, Colorado. The main goal was to strengthen my hairline as it has been uneven my whole life. He and his team did an excellent job and if I had to describe Dr. Harris, it would be a mix between a top notch surgeon and a fatherly figure looking out for your best interest both now and the future. You read about docs and their techs being friendly, but this group really made me feel at home. The environment was both warm and professional. If you are considering an FUE procedure I would highly recommend them.

As a side note I am a perfectionist, I've done 100's of hours of research on this and other forums, I did not choose Dr. Harris at random. If you are considering FUE, I suggest you do more research on Harris and his team. I believe he and Dr. Feller are in an elite class for FUE.

This is excellent work. What price range are you looking at for this type of work?

  3. 1010 graphs. Yes I know what u mean about not going to what looks like the existing hairline, but the doctor shaved that down- there is still hair there I believe.

So there is a Feller office in the UK? I ask because I entered my info on the Keller website and mentioned that I am from NYC but am stationed overseas currently in Europe but will be in the states for good in a few months. I would like to get a procedure done stateside but they copied SPEX in the email so I am baffled right now.

Hi, I just joined the forum today and interested in cost too. I am from New York City and probably think the Doctors here will charge an arm and a leg compared to someone that is just as good in Minnesota.

For example, I am looking at Dr. Epstein and True and Dorin around here but do like Dr Shapiro who is in Minnesota.

I am already have appointments for a telephone consultation.

Does anyone know if the doctors offer a payment plan or you need to get a loan to pay for the surgery or should have it saved up first to do so.

I am an officer in the military but far from rich.

  5. Thanks a lot, all for all the great advice.

It seems both Dr Paul and Ron Shapiro are completely booked out for the year.

Splitting hairs - I was actually leaning towards an FUE with SMG sometime later next year instead - but now having read your response, I'm in two minds again.

To be completely honest, I am a little apprehensive about a strip procedure - because of the extensive scarring and healing time involved, and one of my other big concerns is that if i go the strip route, it'll be that much more difficult have the procedure go undetected at work.

With the FUE, I was just going to shave my head off - so at least it'd be uniform and hopefully, with one week's leave from work around the procedure, the scarring would've potentially healed. I was thinking this had a higher chance of going undetected vs the Strip.

Taking more than a week's leave from work is quite difficult for me and it is very important for me to have the procedure go undetected. This is a big draw towards an FUE procedure.

What are your thoughts on this? Is my assessment of the FUE being easier to go undetected than a strip procedure correct?

People who have already had strip procedures - how did you'll make sure the procedure went undetected? Or is there no way of it going completely undetected?

Thanks again all for all your help! Much much appreciated.

I am in the military and want to have a transplant done while I am on leave. Do you know the range of cost you expect to spend?
