  1. RodG,

    Thanks for your comment, i am keeping my fingers crossed and praying everyday that i get good coverage, as u said nothing can be said for now. Its very tough waiting for the transplanted hairs to grow. My condition is like the cat on a wall, its a 50 50 %, i might get decent density or i might get scarse density, that time only can say.

  2. I am 32 years old. Dr.Pathuri Madhu is the best HT surgeon in South India,i zeroed in on him through this site, since i am Indian i decided to do it from him and also i saw number of his patients who had got good results. The procedure was FUT(strip). My area to be covered is big so he has spread the grafts but still he said that i will get a decent coverage.

    After 10 days of my procedure i am prescribed to use Finpecia 1mg(tab) and Tugain Foam 5% to retain my native hair. I guess i might have a little of my native hair growing inbetween the transplanted hair which could help in getting a denser coverage and the prescribed medicines will help the native hair grow healthy if at all it grows.

  3. mates,

    had my hair transplant on 29/01/11 early morning at 7.45am.It was a smooth procedure.I had it done by Dr.Madhu at Hyderabad.

    Wonderfull staff, hi-tech procedure and a talented doctor. I can comment more about my procedure only after my end results.

    Total grafts 2605.

    S=1335 - 1335 hairs

    D=1100 - 2200 hairs

    M=170 - 510 hairs

    I shall keep you guys informed by posting pictures of each month progress.

    Kindly give me your valuable comments about the density i have been given by the doctor since i am concerned that the grafts are distributed far from each other.

  4. Gentlemen,

    I require to cover 10*15 sq cm including the front top of my scalp and the crown. If i opt for 40 hairs per cm/2 then 150*40=6000 hairs, since i have had a transplant long back in 2004 i have a big scar occupying the main donor area, when i now consulted a doctor for transplant he measured the required area of my donor above my existing scar and said that we could expect approx 2000 follicles and also told me that i cannot have any more transplant after this.

    I have thick curly hair and dense hair area even below the existing scar.

    My want to finish off with my transplant once and for all, so i am wondering if it is possible to have two strips harvested in one session so that we get sufficient hair grafts to cover my crown too along with my center scalp.

    Kindly educate me on this:

    a) Is it possible to extract two strips in a single session and cover the total area without any complications?

    b) By placing 40 hairs per cm/sq will we get good dense hair without the scalp being visible in broad daylight?

  5. Sure, is there a way to send a personal message? I have some pictures too on my phone but not sure how i upload from the phone. Still not sure how my 2500 fue will look, i was fairly balding in the front and dr said i was about norwood 5. Kinda weird as all the implanted hair began growing the next day and just now some is falling out but some isnt. Im taking propecia too for the first time, hope that helps, may start rogiane too but these drugs seem like an annoyance but maybe it will bring back some missing hair and make the existing hair thicker.

    Hi mongoal,

    Me too am the same position as yours(NW-5).I would be thankfull to u if you can share your procedure experience, doctors name and the cost of your transplant along with your b4 after photos.

    Thanks in advance..............

  6. Hello members,

    I require to cover approx 120 cm/2 of my scalp, if i opt for 50 hairs per cm/2 then 120*50=6000 hairs.My question is....

    a). How many hairs max can be extracted from a normal donor area using FUE without affecting the donor area?

    b). How many hairs per cm/2 will give the scalp a good coverage without giving a see through scalp look in broad daylight?

    Need some light on this.Thank you all.....

  7. I live in India and I'm thinking of traveling to Hyderabad sometime this week for a consultation with Dr. Madhu. I've read a lot of people who swear by him. I haven't heard from a single patient who has a FUE done by him or his new long hair transplant. I was hoping someone would share their experience with me.

    Also, any idea how long we have to wait for surgery dates? I may not be in India too long. I would like to get it done as soon as possible.and thanks for your answers.

    Hi patjoe,

    Dr.Madhu is indeed a good choice but he would normally do only 500 grafts approx for a session if it is FUE, so if you are looking to cover a little bigger portion of your scalp then 500 grafts would do you no good.Getting a date will not be an issue i guess.

    Feel free to post any more doubts you got....

  8. Hello mates,

    Its been five months now that i had HT with DHI(Mumbai-India). The experience i had is very very annoying.I had requested for a mega session(3000-4000) and i was very particular about the density, when i spoke to the doctor Dr.ViralDesai and told him that i want thick density and that i would not compromise on that, he convinced me to go for the smallest package(1000 hairs) and see if i could bare the procedure of the operation and then i could proceed with the mega session the next time if i was OK with the procedure and the results.

    I guess i did not even get 500 grafts and everyone had left even b4 my procedure was over so i could not even question anyone.

    I feel so much cheated of my money and i had to bare all the post-op blues for nothing.Nothing has changed on my scalp and i am still what i was b4 op.

    I desperately want my transplant to be done now and i initially contacted AlviArmani

    , the concerned ppl immediately mailed me and responded to my queries.As far as now the response is good.

    Now i am a member of this forum and i read a lot of negatives about Armani and i have been trying to contact Dr.PathuriMadhu by mail since he is been recommended by this site but there has been no response from him, how do we trust such unprofessional ppl and trust them for an operation??

  9. Hello again youngandnative,

    Thanx for your photos, i did compare both your b4 & after photos and thats too many grafts for such a shabby work. Do you know Indian actor SalmanKhan?? Seems like he got his HT done by Dr.AntonioArmani and the result is too good.

    Your valuable comments please..........

  10. Hello guys,

    I was a one last step in going to AntonioArmani for my HT but now am having second thoughts after seeing so much negatives about his work. Can anyone post more before after pictures of Dr.Pathuri Madhu since he is the only Indian doctor recommended by this forum.

    I will be getting my transplant done soon and i will post my before after pictures.
