  1. He performed a motorised extraction and left enough hair in donor for two more transplants should I need them. You cannot tell at all in my donor area that I have had any grafts removed. Hoping I don't need another one although thinking of going back to have temples done. Demirsoy is very good at placing the hair in an aesthetic way so that the growth looks natural.

  2. Largely the cost. It was a euro a graft, and I had seen some good results from him on various forums so I took the plunge. I think he charges 1.25 euros a graft now. We originally had agreed 3300 grafts but I ended up having 3770 grafts, and he didn't charge me for the 400 graft difference. He's a nice doctor and the results speak for themselves. The experience was really easy too.

  3. Hi all

I haven't posted before because I wanted to see how I got on for the first year after my transplant. To summarise, I'm 34, I had a FUE transplant in Istanbul with Dr Erkan Demirosy last September 2014 after years of low confidence, anxiety, etc. all caused by pretty significant male pattern baldness. Its been 12 month snow since the surgery and I'm more than thrilled with the results and what Dr Erkan Demirosy has achieved. Its easily one of the best decisions I've ever made. I had 3770 grafts transplants in one session, with mostly 2's and 3's. The crown is still a bit thin but has had alot of growth and can expect to continue to thicken up in that area for up to 18 months. I'm so pleased, I'm thinking of going back to get my temples down. I only had my crown and mid scalp done this time. I've not used propecia at all but have used minoxidil - once a day for the first six months after the transplant and then every other day after six months.

My advice to anyone procrastinating about whether to get it done (as I was) would be do it and don't look back. You wont regret it, people are shocked when they see me and say how young I'm looking , and it has made such a difference to my confidence and quality of life. I've posted a pre op pic and two taken last week 12 months later. Happy to post more pictures or answer questions. The op was slightly uncomfortable and lasted 12 hours but I would go through it all again to feel how I feel now.
