Now i am confused between these 2 shampoos

    https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/product/11/Revita-Shampoo/

    https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/product/3/Nizoral-Regular-Strength/

1 thing that i noticed is written below the description of Revita is that Hair shedding is a common symptom the first few months and a sign that Revita may be working for you. It's crucial to push past this stage with continued use for the recommended period of time. Now i remember that same thing was said in case of finasteride that you will shred a lot in the first few months and the shredded hair will come back but in my case they never did and the shredding speed has increased a lot since then.Is this condition applied to Nizoral also?

Another thing,i posted in some other thread and other members told me that i should have gone for Merck's propecia, but my doctor suggested me finax by Dr.Reddy's.Is there any difference between the two?

    Thanks

  5. Merck invented propecia and is more reliable you never know what is in generic at leat with merck you can ring them up check if your propecia is real i recommend you get on merck propecia now it will slow your hair loss down definitely.

All dairy milk is made from a pregnant cow and every type of whey protein i've ever seen contained dairy milk i've studied this very carefully because i need muscle mass and strength because i am a profesional fighter but can not take dairy milk because it brings me out in acne.

My finasteride was real, this was it

    Finax (Generic Propecia) - 1mg (10 Tablets)

This is a very reputed company. Are the ingredients same in Dr.Reddy's version and Merck's?I mean any added substance in Merck's?

Ok.But which whey did you use back then?I mean name of the company?

I agree, you really don't know what's in the generic propecia. I have always used merks propecia. It's not as expensive as some people make it out to be.

Not sure about whey making you lose hair. I used to use it a lot and didn't notice fast hair loss. I only use it a few times a week now because I don't train much :(

My regret is that I didn't educate myself to see if there are medicines out there for hair loss. Started losing hair in my late teens & just didn't look. Only found propecia 3 years ago

Is there any difference in ingredient or any other difference in generic and merks? That Dr.Reddy's version is that a generic one?

Propecia made my condition worst :(

  6. Propecia doesn't increase hair loss it can mess with your sex life apparently but i've had no problems with it. I have recently found out that generic propecia is not made as well as mercks official propecia and lots of people taking generic propecia haven't been as protected from dht as people using mercks so i will never be buying generic again.

With regards to whey i know for a fact it caused my severe acne because when i used it i got bad acne and my dr told me it was because it's high in powdered dairy milk which contains high levels of hormones from a pregnant cow which is likely to raise testoserone in a human, obviously we all know testoserone mixed aplha 5 enzyne creates dht which thins your hair.

I don't have much info about kinds of propecia,i took propecia manufactured by Dr.Reddy's,but instead of helping it pumped up the pace and made the condition worst. Its been months that i left those meds, then why do you think its shredding at the same faster pace?It should slow down to the state as they were before i took propecia

What brand of whey did you use?I don't think ON's whey are made from pregnant cow's milk, its a very good brand, worlds number 1 for years now

  7. 1) Sorry to hear about that. Damn, if they don't help, I dunno what might?

    2) When I was losing heavily from 18-20, my scalp was frequently greasy, pimply, itchy, dandruffy and warm in the the areas I was losing. It was demoralizing and inconvenient. I think their are good shampoos out there now, but I don't use them nowadays, nor am I up with it, but I did use one a few years ago that made me feel nice, and those keta shampoos are said to help, so give it a go. There are loads of threads about shampoos.

    3) I don't wanna take responsibility for what u tell ur doc on that one buddy, but if I had any family history of prostate cancer I might think about taking early preventative action by getting my DHT tested at a young age so as to keep track of it as I aged. If my GP said, that is BS I might try another one, next time I had a bad cold and needed to visit one.

Thank you for the reply, about the test i will update you once i come up with something

If your hair is programmed to fall out whey protein will make it fall out faster fact.

When i first started losing my hair at 21 i was drinking loads of whey and training then i stopped it and maintained my hair loss for 9 years perfectly with propecia and then when i restarted training and using whey again at age 30 my hair started falling out again almost within 6 months of reintroducing whey my hairline had been smashed which it never returned. Also i got acne while using whey protein which too disappeared after stopping.

Ps i never stopped taking propecia from 21 even till this day.

Are you sure whey swifts alopecia process?

Yes i too experienced faster shredding after i started whey, but upon reading comments on this website i thought that there is no relation between the two Man i am more confused now :(

I started propecia last year and in the first month itself i saw lots of shredding. After two months i started whey the shredding increased, then i read on this website that whey doesn't cause shredding,so after 6 months i discontinued propecia because i thought it swifted the process and till today it hasnt slowed down

  8. becool,

Ketomac Shampoo contains 2% ketoconazole. In the US, Nizoral 2% is only available by prescription while the 1% solution is available over the counter. Since the active ingredient is the same, I would assume that both 2% Ketomac and 2% Nizoral are equally effective for treating waxy dandruff.

    Good luck!

    Hi Mr.David

Sorry i was outta town so was not able to reply back.Ok so i will choose Nizoral 2%

What do you think about this shampoo?

Follicleanse Shampoo blocks DHt with Zinc PCA and deep cleans

At the store the other day, people were praising about this shampoo A LOT

    Regards

  9. becool,

I don't believe that this shampoo alone will stop your shedding but you've got nothing to lose by trying. You've already dismissed finasteride and minoxidil and there is simply nothing else our there that is clinically proven to treat androgenic alopecia.

    Good luck!

    Hi Mr.David

    Thanx for the reply

Actually i am confused between this shampoo and nizoral for waxy dandruff.Which one do you think is better?

Is there any thread on this website regarding waxy dandruff, because i am not able to find any

  10. Hi

I am suffering from alopecia.Finasteride and minoxidil didn't work for me rather they increased the shredding.I have waxy dandruff in my hair.My question is could this be one of the reason of shredding?

I was a user of Ayur herbal shampoo for 4 years,i tried garnier anti-dandruff shampoo but it wasn't of much help as hair were shredding at the same pace,to be honest i tried it 3-4 times only.

Now i am planning to try this shampoo

    Ketomac Shampoo

    What do you guys think?

    Thanx

  11. Oh..and I have no idea if you can just walk up for a blood test in your area (I think the rules differ) or if you need a referral from a general physician first.

    Hey

    Thanks again for replying

Actually i tried Finasteride and Minoxidil but it didn't work for me,it made my condition worst :( I think i made one of my life's biggest mistakes when i started taking these meds, because since then i am loosing hair at a very very swift pace. You can check this thread and read my sad story :(

    http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/157544-20-experiencing-severe-hair-loss.html

So,since these meds are not for me,what can i do for waxy dandruff?I mean any cure?Do you think this shampoo will work

    Ketomac Shampoo

About the blood test,no my insurance wont cover it,and i still don't know what am i gonna tell the doctor

    Regards

  12. DHT dehydrotestosterone - a metabolized offspring of testosterone that sticks to our follicles like barniclles on a boat, slowly killing the vulnerable ones, can be measured and u can be aware of its level in u with and without meds during intense training, during breaks and when on whey and when off it. That is a lot of tests for sure, but even if u do a couple u might get a picture. There are some members on this board that seem to know about this stuff in more detail and some who think the connection between DHt and training is negligible, even bogus. I don't know if anyone can say what causes the shed and whether whey has any part in it. Testosterone does raise with training and supplements, if they do what they say that should do, obviously play a part, mess with the general picture. It's harsh that muscling up should take a toll on our hair given that we wanna do it to compensate but I think being huge isn't necessary just being leaner on ur own personal scale is the way to go. Anyway, hopefully someone will chip in. My DHT levels are 20 above the highest limit for "normal" men. No wonder I was visited by the balding Gods at 18!

    Hi

    Thanks again for replying

Well now i am more scared :( Only dermatologists check the blood for dht or any doctor will do?Like you said your dht levels are 20,what do you do to lower them?

Whenever i scratch my head i get few dandruff like stuff in my hair and if my hair are wet that white stuff is more, ofcourse few strands come out too.Now i searched on the internet and according to it i have waxy dandruff. Is there any shampoo that can help me in preventing this waxy dandruff?I used ayur herbal shampoo for like 4 years, then shifted to garnier for few days and now dove shampoo.I shampoo on alternate days

    Thanks

  13. Get your blood checked for DHT. Establish your base level DHT and work from there. Listen carefully to what they tell you about the test times as DHT levels vary throughout the day. Research. Don't give up.

    Thanks for the reply.

Can you please explain a bit more?Establish dht,i did not get that.

Do you think i ate meds for 6 months that are causing the shredding at a swift pace?Or do you think its the whey or working out?

  14. I have been working out for 4 years and i am loosing hair since 2006.Last year after consulting a dermatologist i started taking finasteride and minoxidil,it made my condition worse the shredding increased.I discontinued the meds after 6 months. In the 4th month i added whey protein, now its showing results for my body but i am loosing hair at a very swift pace.I am very very confused.Should i leave the gym or whey?I took the meds for 6 months,do you thing they did something bad inside my body i mean since i started taking them the shredding has increased a lot.I am 21 years old
