  1. In my case, I have had 5100 grafts so far in two sessions. I was told that I have another 3-4000 grafts. You can check my pictures to see my hair characteristics. After that, you can utilize the FUE method and body hair if money is no problem. I think the key is to choose a great doctor so your limited donor hair doesn't get misused or wasted by a failed surgery.

  2. Gobble, I don't think that pimples hurt the follicles. I think they are just ingrown hairs breaking through the skin causing pimples, just like the ones that sometimes appear a day after shaving the face. The hair you saw was probably a graft that was going to shed either way. It should grow back after about 4 months.

  3. I got a new camera so I thought I'd post some pics in harsh light to really highlight the transplanted areas.

I had 1800 grafts w/ Dr. Pong in the receding hair line area 17 months ago. It grew in fast and I'm mostly satisfied. The hair doesn't match up well to the surrounding hair because it is much more coarse and dark, so it stands out up close. When the hair is longer, it blends in better but stillt darker.

I had my second surgery 11 weeks ago with Dr. Panine. The recovery has been fine, the numbness has persisted longer than my first surgery. I did have 3200 grafts the second time which could explain the longer healing process of nerves. I think I also had some shock loss around the scar as you can see. Most hair was put in the crown, the other hair was put in the thinning parts of the frontal third.

I'm getting really anxious for my last surgery to blossom. A lot of the hairs never shed and are still there. I shampoo vigorously but they stayed put. I figure that they will fall out when a new hair pushes them out, right?

Another concern is my temple area on the right side. It looks very unnatural next to the transplanted hair in the area. I think I will FUE that area and any other area that needs addressed. Not sure I can go through a strip again.

    Thanks for reading

  4. I have used quite a few concealer products, toppik, nanogen, dermamatch, and most recently caboki. I got a trial offer from caboki's website andI really liked it.

I ordered a big bottle of Caboki fibers even though I have a full nanogen bottle in the cabinet, as I've been shaking the latter product on my head for the past two years.

  5. I had 1800 grafts with Dr. Pong. He transplanted into the corners of the hairline. The middle area is my my normal hair. Dr. Panine put grafts in there to match it with Dr. Pongs work on the sides. Dr. Panines work looks really good post op, no scabs, blood, I had more scabs with Dr. Pong.

I am back in the USA so Dr. Pong is too far away now. Dr. Panine was impressed with Dr. Pongs work. I think Dr. Pong could easily be a member of this site. I will ask for the picture that Dr. Panines office took of my scar before they excised it in order to cut a new strip. I haven't seen it so I am curious.

  6. I just wanted to inform yu about a compliment I received from a coalition doctor .It was regarding Dr. Pongs work that I had back in Feb. 2011. Dr. Panine said it was a beautiful scar and the hair trasplant was a great success. Even the techs were saying it was a great job.

I will have pictures of Dr. Pongs scar because Dr. Panines staff took pictures of the scar before they excised it.

Anyways I wrote this to reassure you that Dr. Pongs work is indeed on par with coalition member for those of you in Asia/Austraia looking closer to home
