That's a tricky one.  Not sure what has caused that.  It's probably a temporary issue. I'm curious that you only had a 200 graft procedure?  Did you leave out a zero (2,000)?  Can you tell us a bit more?

Actually, I had thousands done at Virginia Surgical Center but when I wanted the 200 units, they had some personal issues going on so I went with Giannotto for the FUE.

Best thing to do is to go to the dermatologist and have them biopsy the area.  This will give you the answer.  Additionally, there are steroidal type meds they can prescribe to help you manage the condition.  On a side note, if a transplant is done while the condition is active, the condition can also transfer to the recipient area. This is why most reputable doctors will wait until the condition is under control before moving forward.  Have you noticed the same in the transplanted area?

Thanks for the info. I didn't have these rashes before the op. It definitely appeared after the transplant. And its in the donor area.

  3. Hi everyone,

I had a 200 unit FUE operation performed at The Giannotto Clinic in Virginia. Unfortunately, they are closed now so I can't go back to ask about it : (.

It's been two years after the op and I still have light red patches at the donor areas. It's not bumpy and isn't causing me any discomfort (which might be why I haven't worried about it). But recently, I cut my hair short and people have been asking me to get it checked out. I'm not sure if its folliculitis. Please see attached photos.

Does anyone have the same thing or have any insight? Thanks in advance!

  5. I just had my 3rd transplant with VSC. The first was for 2000 and second was for 2200. Needless to say, I have been very satisfied, which is the reason I just had my third. If this one goes as well as my first two, I will be a very happy man.

Other than the usual advice I noticed that NOT sleeping on the transplanted area produces even better results (which is why I sleep on my back now). During both of my first two transplants, the results started to show after 2-3 month and ends around 12-13 month with the most noticeable growth around 6-8 month.
