I just bought and received a year's worth of Finasteride (generic Propecia) from a Canadian pharmacy (it seems to have come in the form of samples...probably typical). Anyway, obviously, I obtained it without a prescription. The website did have me write a paragraph explaining my reason for wanting to purchase the drug, and then a doctor (maybe he is one, maybe he isn't) reviewed it before allowing me to proceed with my order.
Ok, here's the thing: I have a doctor's appointment for a general check-up in about a month. I haven't started taking the propecia yet. Should I tell him, "Doc, I would like to take Propecia under your supervision." Do I tell him I already bought it? (He probably wouldn't be happy to hear that). If I don't tell him I bought it, he'll probably write me a prescription for it, which would cost me a whole lot more that what I paid at the Canadian online pharmacy.
I used Propecia about ten years ago. My hair transplant doc got it for me, but it wound up costing me too much so I stopped. Anyway, it worked at the time after a few months, and the only side effect I noticed was decreased libido for the first couple of weeks, but then my libido returned.
What do I tell my doc, if anything? How do you handle your Canadian pharmacy purchases? Thanks for reading, look forward to your responses.

I had nothing but a great experience with DeYarman and can't say enough good things. I had previously gone to another hair translplant doctor in San Diego and the procedure was very painful. I had paid for 1500 follicles and in reality I probably had about 700. Once I saw my friend's procedure after going to DeYarman it looked so much better right from day one compared to what I went thru with another doctor. I couldn't believe it! Since I had the procedure done at DeYarman I could not be more happy! I never had the pain from the previous doctor and the staff was very professional. I think Dr DeYarman is very talented and is honest. I am going back for a second procedure to fill in the back upon my 12 month anniversary. I could not be more happy with the entire experience. If you are fair skinned, as I am, it can take months. I used make up and it covers it up well.

I think I remember reading that a second transplants don't yield the same results as the first (if true, we should get a discount for our second one!
Anyone have any experience with this?

Any second opinions? Tell my primary doctor? Start taking the pills anyway and only tell him if I have weird side effects? What do you think?
