  1. I would love to completely agree with Dr. Feller but until the studies conclude without a shadow of a doubt, I would have to remain skeptical but not closed minded. After all, Vitamin D3 is produced in skin exposed to sunlight, specifically ultraviolet B radiation and Vitamin D plays an important role in the maintenance of organ systems, immune system etc... all from which we "Synthesize" much like a plant. Point being is we can't simply turn our heads and scoff at new ideas just because the idea itself sounds absurd. If that were the case, our world map would look pretty funny huh?

Oh God I hope this is not the case! I feel like I'm using Dial-up again the pictures take so long to load... I say scrap this idea and use photobucket.com if it's a hosting issue. That's what every other site uses for uploading pictures...

  3. I second that...

  4. I just checked out those pictures and man you got some great growth!!! How in the world did you manage such growth in only 4 months??? I talking about the picture on "June 2004, 09H50" to "Sep 2004". I mean damn! what kind of miracle grow did you throw on that head icon_smile.gif Excellent results man...

  5. I am not completely sold on the idea that Baseball hats can not cause a small amount of hair loss(mainly in the temple areas where it causes the most friction). I might be alone on this one but if you think of certain hair styles that can cause balding (mainly braiding ones hair or dreadlocks) and or damaging ones hair follicles, why not a baseball cab that is constantly rubbing, pulling & irritating the temple area? There is no doubt that hair can fall out just by constant pulling or tugging{you can try it out yourself icon_smile.gif} but the question remains, will it continue to grow back time and time again? Now take the idea of waxing and with time, the hair will no longer grow back as it once did. Why is it SO unlikely that one can cause damage to hair follicles with constant use of a baseball cap? I just think their hasn't been enough studies done to come to a definitive conclusion. I understand that most hair surgeons & doctors concur(and the mass population taking to that ideology) but I still think this needs to be revisited and more research done before making such assumptions.

  6. I know this is an old post but for the new young ones reading this, I would advise opening your ears abit and LISTENING to what your doctors say. Sure getting a second opinion is great but I have to agree with what your primary doctor had to say. First, you are pretty young to be considering a hair transplant period. I too was thinning at an early age but I looked for other solutions first. As for using Propecia at 21, again I would hold off. Rogaine and Propecia have a shelf life in it's effectiveness on combating MPB(don't take my word for it... go visit hairlosstalk.com and do a few months of reading). their are plenty of other products I would recommend trying (DHT blockers etc...)before going to the big three. Your primary doctor maybe correct. It could be something as simply as a bad diet and lack of exercise(and YES this can have an effect on hair loss).

  7. I knew that sounded kinda funny...I did get some grafts done on the side of my head as well so I might wait the 2 months before doing anything. The shampoo stuff that they gave me has made my entire scalp really dry and flaky. Dr. Ochs in Cali was my Doctor but his staff was the one who gave me the directions to follow. Thanks for responding guys, I can't wait to use my shampoo/conditioner tonight!

  8. So when I got my transplant done a couple of weeks ago, on the directions it said not to use hair clippers for 6 months! Is this true? Should we wait 6 month's before using any kind of hair clippers? I'm kinda screwed because that's all I use to use to cut my hair. Haven't gotten my hair cut by someone in like a decade (no joke). Just found it easier to cut it myself with the use of clippers. just like to hear from others if they waited this long... Also, how long before using your own type of shampoo and conditioner? I've been using this shampoo they gave me to use for the past 2 weeks and now I'm flaking big time.

  10. Thanks guys. So get this(Just my freak'n luck of course). I go to get the staples removed and one of them in the back "somehow" got reversed. Anyways, it took them a good 15 min to get it out and then wanted to put another staple in it's place for the next week. I was pissed! I asked them to use stitches instead. By the way, staples are IMPOSSIBLE to sleep with and would NEVER get them done EVER again. So now I probably run the risk of shock loss which I hope isn't the case.

  11. So I just had my 4000 graft hair transplant last week and I decided not to really wear hats for the first week. Here's the problem, last night my roommate brings home this HOT girl I hooked up with a few months ago. Anyway, long story short, I decided to wear a baseball cap last night so not to look like an idiot. So this morning I noticed at least one of the grafts had come out which freaked me out. but the other thing I noticed was the hairs on my temples that were transplanted are looking smaller(kinda like they broke in half or got smaller). So my question is this, will this effect the outcome of my hair transplant? I'm just freaking out because I spent my life saving on this and now I'm worried I screwed everything up just to not look like a fool. Any advice would be appreciated...
