  1. Checking in. Im now 6 weeks post op, half way until the fun stage :

    2 questions,

Is shedding non trans planted hair located in the recipient area normal? Im much thinner now than pre op.

My head is really itchy in the recipient area, is this normal?

    Im using rogain and finistride.

  2. Ya I took pics each day, Ill try to post them this weekend.

I did use SMG last time too and document the who procedure for 12 months, not sure how to link it to this thread.

The vibrating think some how made the shots not hurt, I dont know what it was but its new.

Im not loving my crazy looking hair right now. Im going in for a hair cut Monday, hopefully it can be somewhat salvaged. I was hoping to pull this transplant off without anyone knowing other than my best friend who goes in for FUE next month.

Im excited for next week, I want to itch the top of my head....ive been tying my hands to my waist at night so I dont itch my head in my sleep, lol

  3. HT was performed July 22 by Dr. Paul Shapiro. Not a lot has changed. They have a shock thing that makes the shots barley hurt and lots of movies to watch. Its still hard sitting in a chair all day. I had roughly 2754 grafts in the middle where i was thinning about 20cm, hoping for 40-45cm now.

I let them shave the top of my head.....it looks stupid, thankfully i work from home and can hide out. Last time they didnt cut my hair, i was back to the grind a week later. Ill have a odd haircut for a longer time this go around.

I went in for my first shampoo yesterday, all went well. Ive been spraying that stuff on my head every 1/2 hour....man it makes my head itch!! Cant wait to itch the top of my numb head, lol. I took 2 showers today, all went well.

I go in for a hair cut Monday, should be interesting.....I dont think they can fix this jacked up hair dew i got going on here. Gonna be a long 2 weeks.

glad to have it behind me, next goal get back to normal life.

ill try to post pics of pre op

    day 1 and day 2

  4. its been a while since Ive been on here. I documented my first year pretty good in my blog. im coming up on 2 years since my HT dec 1st. I wondered prior to having a ht, would anyone know how real would it look. To date noone has ever known and Ive dated a bucket load of women in the last year and a half, maybe 30- I have recieved lots of compliments. My one friend said "we are lucky we stay in shape and have a full head of hair" noone has a clue. Ive lots of girls play with my hair, its thin I have very fine hair but it looks like a full head of hair. Having a ht was the best thing ever for me.

  5. Just a quick update. I am approaching 13 months post op. It has been a great year. I feel I have turned the clocks back a few years. The dating scene has been insane!!! I didnt know how much a ht would effect my life for the positive. My confidence is very high. I thought I was confident and didnt think my hairlaoss bothered me too much, I can tell you it bothered me more than I thought. Now I feel like the old me. I also took the last year and have trained very hard and am in top physical shape. The 2 ares I have seen most improve is my face to face communications in buisness and my dating. I have mentioned my exwife left me for another man, which hurt deeply. Now I am dating beautiful women many times in there early 20 and much prettier than her- with my new hair Im way out of her league!!lol. I am greatfull i have gone through this expirience as it has humbled me and given me a greater sencer of compassion for people who have insecurities with there looks. I want to encourage anyone thinking of getting a ht, If you go with a top doc, and have a realistic game plan, it is amazing how it makes you feel about yourself.

  6. no offense Janna, I love you and everyone at shapiro but your website sucks, i told matt that too, it is a terrible representation of how wonderfull you are. Your reputation is gold. Its interesting your marketing(atleast your website) is subpar, you do have a lot of good info, but could do so much better and you are swamped with buisness. Then you have bosley who market the heck out of themselves and give subpar work. NervousNelly, if you visit the clinic they are all truely wonderfull people. You will be so impressed on the upside if you only have info from their website. you can view my blog to the the kind of work they produce.

  7. Im trying to post my last pics for the 1 year mark and it keeps saying this>>> Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e57'

String or binary data would be truncated.

    /admin/journal_entry.asp, line 176

is it a sight error, or something wrong with my computer?

  8. I train heavy and almost never with forced reps. because my body structure is very trim (28 waiste in shape) I have to use power lifting techniques to maintain any fullness. I bench once a week, I switched my routine up and am programing myself to be able to bench my body weight 20 times for 3 sets with one lighter set for a fourth, that is my whole chest workout, then do a tricept extension burnout. For back i do 3 sets of 20 pull ups and 2 sets of deadlifts and 1 set of seated rows. and legs i do leg extensions and 4 sets of squats sets of 12 and 2 sets of hack squats and some hamstring lifts. I only work out 3 times a week with weights, its easy for me to over train, and do cardio 5-7 days a week walking 4.12 miles in an hour. I eat 2-4 hamburgers a day and rice, leanest meat I can find. i eat every 3 hours atleast 50 grams of protien and am done eating by 7pm. and 2-3 times a week will do a no carb day. I always eat the most the days before my weight training. I have been doing this for 10 years and have it down to a science. I have had my body fat as low as 4% which it was about 5-6 in that first pic, and trained to compete in a body building show, but after a year of hard work realized Im just to tall and to thin of a body type, so now I just train and try to get into shape atleats 1 a year, and when you get my age 33 and look at people who dont really take care of themselves you can really see them aging.

  9. I have been into fitness for the last 10 years hardcore, nothing gay about it. no different than showing your results with hairloss. you guys both look great. I know its frusterating when you can make your body look great, but your hair sux. this is an old pic, Im going to put up a before and 1 year after pic of a body transformation in january. I let myself go for awhile, but am in top shape now. great hair great body=lots of ladies icon_cool.gif

  10. wes, Im not sure if its improving or not, its such a gradual process its hard to tell. It looks very full. Mrjb, I agree with you, and will let it grow out now, I wanted to show the scar when I look down so people could see, also I am 6'2 so I wouldnt have to bend down much for people to see it. I have found itf my hair is to long it doesnt look right and if its too short it doesnt look right. The texture of my hair is very fine, I think thats why my scar shows a little more, which brings up a thought, if I had a bigger procedure and had a scar that wrapped around my head, I think the scar would show, so Im greatfull my scar is small. Mark h, I am definatley meeting a ton of women been a very fun time in my life, i also have got into top physical shape which is something I would recomend for everyone, getting a ht and being very fit made me feel like a million bucks, which spills over into so many other areas of life. Everything i had hoped a Ht would be, it has been.
