This could be an important date in any hair loss sufferer's calendar:
-
It is good though that the donor hair is unlimited but the price will be probably double as it is now on FUE, "Unfortunately, the procedure is very labor intensive and will compound the already high cost of hair transplants, so this may be out of reach for the average baldie (Gho is rumored to have worked on an increasing number of Dutch celebrities)." they say. Good job Gho but still very primitive and unacceptable.
Yeah, they say it's 8$ a graft. I wish this would reach in the hands of other doctors as well...maybe then we can see some improvement in price. It's still very new though.

I think this is more exiting than the india news. It's new and it is already in use.

I think the price depends on how long the treatment would last. If i understand it correctly it will re-start your hair. That means it will last 23 years for someone who started loosing their hair at 23 like i have.
For a full head of hair for 23 years I'd pay up to 25.000 $.

Excellent news!!! A hell of a woman this Naughton! Two years seems too good to be true!
I'm keeping my hopes alive.

I've benn o Finasteride for 5 months now and in my case it has no effect apart from slight side-effects. As far as i can tell i'm loosing my hair at the same rate as before Propecia. I hope PRP will help those in my situation. I for one would use it just to stop my hair loss even withouth any cosmetical benefits.
-
Dr. Feller, greetings from East Europe and congratulations on your work!
Woudn't PRP at least help those like Dakota have no further loss if the cosmetical results are out of the question?

I might start takin Vit. E on a daily basis now anyways....what could it hurt??
Well, from my understanding it's not just any Vitamin E you can take. It's a sort of compund or something. I too would add it to my regim, but i would like to know exactlly what to take.

Hello all.
I'm going on 24 this fall. I first noticed my hair loss 2 years ago, when i was almost 22. I did not do anything about it until november last year.
- Rogaine 5% once daily + Nizoral 2% 3 x Week - from november 2008 to april 2009 - NO results. My hail loss was progressing at the same rate as far as i could tell. I gave up on Rogain because of no results and also because of high costs (it's not in pharmacies in Romania)
- Propecia 0.3 mg 1 x day - for 3 months now and NO results. I would increase the dose by i can't afford it yet. I shall increase it to 0.5mg starting August.
I worried because my hair loss has not even been slowed down let alone stopped! Any advice is more than welcome
Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone,
I just came across this new study. What do you guys think about it?
Very Exiting News: ISHRS Scientific Meeting- Dr. Jerry Cooley

i can only speculate on these two points:
2) because it's an interesting experiment with the beard hair, as you've seen it gradually becomes like scalp hair over time and also sometimes "sprouts" a new hair close to its root
I'd say it can lead to endless donor supply, at least in theory for now.
@future ht doc - thanks for the info, i wasn't aware of the existence of that thread.
