  1. I have heard nothing but positive stuff about Dr. Rose, but also have not seen alot of his work and his website isn't great. I just seem to read positive comments about him every now and again. I have a feeling that he is a low key doctor and doesn't actively try and promote his work. I also like the fact that he is progressive and does both fue and strip. I would definitely suggest having a consultation with him, though.

  2. I would love to be able to shave my head, but can't. I had a bad plug transplant with lots of open donor scars in the back and didn't feel that i could shave without 110 round 4mm dots showing in the back. If it was just a linear scar, I think i would still have shaved. I opted for 2 repair procedures with Dr. Wong instead. I must say that my results were mixed. My hair certainly looks better then before, but I still don't feel like i look very good and don't have the freedom that I would have liked. I have to use lots of hair gel to keep the hair together as it is so thin and patchy. Wow, do i wish i could just shave it all off, but between the linear scar (which goes temple to temple) and the open donor scars, there is no way. I def recommend people at least try to shave before doing an HT.

  3. Like the others said, I would definitely stick with the Propecia...I have a good friend who's hair really thickened noticably using it...it may also prevent future hair loss. So even if it does not grow more hair, stopping more hair loss is so crucial. Minoxidal may or may not help...you may want to start with propecia for about a year and check the results...if you still aren't satisfied, you can add minoxidol. This way, you know how effective each treatment is. I will say this, Minoxidol is a pain to use, is very messy and have heard that if you stop using it, you may experience a shedding...not sure, but check into it.

  4. Fue is about double the cost of a strip surgery, but may leave little to no scarring in the donor area. Yet, I have heard that when you shave your head after fue, that you may see tiny white dots all over your donor area. Not sure really. I would want to see live patients of both strip and fue and inspect their scar/donor areas of the doctors you are considering. The question about fue is how much coverage and density that you want. Fue is usually for smaller cases, but it depends on the doctor doing the procedure. do lots of homework about both methods and lots of doctors before making a decision.

  5. I used it for a year and a half. There is an herbal supplement, a topical and shampoo. I don't think I really noticed anything. Can't tell if it slowed hair loss down. It's not a concealer. It does have saw palmetto and horsetail which are supposed to be good for hairloss. Your better bet is rogaine plus propecia.

  6. Spencer's show was my starting point in my research. Without his show, I probably would not have found this and other websites. At the same time, his show almost sounds like an infomercial for Dr. Bernsteins HT company (i forgot the name). He gets paid big money by the very people he is supposed to be evaluating. Conflict of interest?

  9. Does anyone know if there are any statistics for growth rate for fue? For example, I have been told by a few good strip doctors that the growth rate for strip is 98-100%. I have not heard about the growth rate for fue. I also assume this depends greatly about who the doctor is as well. But, assuming the doctor is top notch, will all the hair grow in?
