Just a little update of where I'm at 45 days after surgery. Not much happening so far, redness is mostly gone and most of the transplanted hairs have shed. Noticing some shedding in the shower, could be shockloss but it's hard to say... all part of the process I guess! Really getting a sense of what guys on here were talking about when they referred to the 'ugly duckling' phase... it really sucks and I'm looking forward to being comfortable enough to ditch the hat in the future. I kept my hair longer so I could style it down over the recipient area and then hold it in place with hairspray. At this point I feel ok to go out without it, but think if I was going for a one on one coffee or lunch with someone I'd still prefer to have the hat on.
