I attended an inter office meeting today with the surgical technicians. They were discussing trimming techniques, placements and the different receptor site instruments. It was quite enlightening. We covered the efficiency of strip removal, sequential donor closure and graft placement. Some of the techs specialize in hairline placement while others do the top and crown. The team is very well coordinated but we are always strategizing to increae efficiency.

To my colleagues out there: what do you look for in surgical technicians? What skills are important? Do certain technicians get different results?

Dr Mohebi is a very evidenced based practitioner and I'm asking the community their experience with their opinions on the surgical technicians.
