Regular Member Don Posted June 2, 2002 Regular Member Share Posted June 2, 2002 According to my doctor, after the first week or so, the transplants are permanent. Have you ever burned your head before? Did your old hair fall out because of it? Probably not--so don't sweat it. Those babies are going to be with you for the rest of your life! Senior Member arfy Posted June 3, 2002 Senior Member Share Posted June 3, 2002 Sunburn can trigger hair loss. I don't know what effect it will have on your grafts. But the grafts have a certain amount of scar tissue (where they sit in the scalp). You should probably keep your scalp out of the sun, even if it doesn't hurt your graft growth.
