Senior Member the B spot Posted February 25, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted February 25, 2007 Hey Pete!!! Glad to see some pics buddy!!!! Anyway, 3000 will be a good start--- however, you will need at least 4500-5500 grafts to reach your goals. I can't really see the caliber of your hair, but I would recommend a session of 4000+ grafts. You should be able to establish a very nice appropriate hairline with very nice density. You will undoubtedly go for a 2nd session to hit your crown and refine the 1st transplant. I would express your desire to re-establish your hairline, midscalp and the tip of your crown on session 1 (If your donor and laxity will permit this) This coupled with your use of Propecia will really set you up for HT #2 where you can "top off" your excellent start. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. Bill - Seemiller
Peter, B Spot beat me to it...but he said pretty much EXACTLy what I would have said regarding your needs. My advice: Stay conservative on the hairline and if you can get a 4000+ session, you will definitely be on your way. I'd go for the max that a doctor can get in one session and see where you end up. You may need 2 sessions to meet your goals. Bill

Senior Member hairbank Posted February 26, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted February 26, 2007 As usual, B spot and Bill are right (IMO). In your situation, I'd get as many as safely possible starting with a fairly conservative hairline then working your way back. Who knows, maybe you can hit a home run and get 5000 in one pass?? I'm with you on Propecia, I wish I could have taken it when i first noticed loss..........may have avoided HT's altogether, or at least for a good bit more time.! So where are you at in the process? Have you chosen Dr. Williams for sure and are you scheduled? Guest
Hairbank. I don't have HT scheduled yet. I am still doing reserche who shoul'd I go with. I don't think I will do my HT with Dr. Williams. I will probably do that either with Dr. Feller, or Dr. Epstein. I relly like their work. Unless I'll find somebody else that I will like more than these two doctors.
