Threadbare_Paddington
Hi, I stopped applying Minox 5% and am looking for something the next step up in strength. Is the answer: Minox 5% + tretinoin? Minox + Azaleic acid? Some concentration of minox higher than 5% on its own? (Note: I tried some of the high concentration stuff from Dr. Lee and it was a miserable sandy paste). What would you say is the best, most economical way to step it up a notch. Thanks. TP

Senior Member Robert_ Posted June 18, 2005 Senior Member Share Posted June 18, 2005 Threadbare, First of all, why would you discontinue minoxidil without having its' replacement "in hand" ready to go for application the very next day? Minoxidil is not a medication that you can just come on and go off on a whim. To reap any benefits you must use it consistently. Next, for how long did you use the 5%? The reason I ask is that from your post it seems that you are "treatment hopping" a bit. Let me be the first to tell you that that is the absolute worst thing that you can do. Give your medication time to work. -Robert ------------------------------ Check out the results of my surgical hair restoration performed by Dr. Jerry Cooley by visiting my Hair Loss Weblog
