Regular Member Lion Posted July 23, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted July 23, 2009 Do all the HT hair grow in with the same thickness & density?I ask because in the recipient area I have both thicker and thinner hair growing in? I wonder if the thinner hair are my pre-op native hairs. Thanks

Senior Member mmhce Posted July 23, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted July 23, 2009 The recepient area will be a mosaic of native atrophic and non-native non-atrophic hair. Native will have varying calibres. Non native is supposed to initially sprout as vellus and finer terminal hair both increasing in calibre until the ultimate size is achieved. take care... Regular Member Hairy Godmother Posted July 23, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted July 23, 2009 Hello Lion: mmhce did a wonderful job addressing your question. How far out from transplantation are you? Are you using Rogaine to "beef up" your hair? Regular Member Lion Posted July 23, 2009 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 23, 2009 mmhcem, thanks for your answer. If I'm correct regarding the non native hair, they all sprout out thin & with the same diameter of thickness? Hair Godmother, I'm about to have 4 month post op. Senior Member MrJobi Posted July 24, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted July 24, 2009 The hair will come in rather coarse and over time with smooth out and turn into its orginal texture. It's not always an even process as a whole JOBI 1417 FUT - Dr. True 1476 FUT - Dr. True 2124 FUT - Dr. True 604 FUE - Dr. True My views are based on my personal experiences, research and objective observations.
