Bill - Seemiller
Kpune, I'd recommend talking to a physician about finasteride (Propecia) and minoxidil (Rogaine) - the two most effective non-surgical solutions for hair loss. Best wishes, Bill

Senior Member drmstx Posted March 5, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted March 5, 2010 kpune You have to talk to a doctor before deciding to take these medications. I know the meds are available over-the-counter in India but it is always a good idea to talk to a doc as these meds have potential side effects (especially Finasteride). The suggested dosage for Finasteride is 1mg per day. Minoxidil (Mintop) is to be applied to the scalp twice daily, once in the morning and once in the evening, 1 ml each time. This is supposed to work only on the crown though. Good luck with your HT doc search and HT research.
