Regular Member gtz101 Posted March 8, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted March 8, 2010 I can only book an appointment with the nurse 9 days after the HT will take place later this month. Is this too early or ok?
Senior Member TheEmperor Posted March 8, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted March 8, 2010 Follow your physicians instructions. I believe that is too early. Later is better than too soon. My Hair Loss Web Site - Hair Transplant with Dr. Wong
Senior Member azn_guy Posted March 9, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted March 9, 2010 I just posted a question about this 2 weeks ago follow whatever your doctor says my doctor wanted me to have the sutures in 21 days, so I had mine in for 21 days Staples you have to have them out within 7-10 days, while Sutures you can have them in longer HT with Dr. Cooley

Dr. William Lindsey
We remove at day 7 like Dr. Alexander. But follow your doc's instructions as he/she knows what works in their practice for best results. Dr. Lindsey McLean VA William H. Regular Member MikeyJ Posted March 12, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted March 12, 2010 Wow, I am suprised a doctor would wait so long to take out the sutures. I took mine out at 7 days (per Dr. Alexander's orders). I work as a registered nurse and I can tell you that the norm in the hospital to take out a patients sutures post-op is 7 - 10 days (of course depends on the surgery). But it all depends on what your physician orders -- follow their orders.
