niners
I had a transplant in Jan 2023 of 2700 grafts, and I’ve been on finasteride since January 2024. So 6 months in. It was a 2k transplant, and I’m not even going to mention who did it, because they don’t deserve FREE promotion, after telling me lies about “If you have finasteride be careful if you want to have children”. I lost a years worth of finasteride usage. But that’s where the negativity in this post ends. I want to be constructive and positive. Would I need a second transplant? I’m only 6 months into finasteride, and I think maybe derma stamping and buying a laser helmet to compliment the finasteride would help. But I’m open to another transplant, as long as I don’t need a third, then a a fourth and so on. I’m Birmingham based, and don’t know any reputable ones here. But willing to travel nationwide. I’ve only just contacted Dr Miln this afternoon after discovering him on this forum. But open to other options too. Is my hair that bad?
Senior Member Shadman Posted July 28 Senior Member Share Posted July 28 @niners do you've any photos before your procedure and also just after procedure ? I think oral/topical minoxidil will work better than derma and laser cap 𝐄𝐮𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐱 / 𝐃𝐫. I think oral/topical minoxidil will work better than derma and laser cap Apologies I should have said. The finasteride tablet is one from Manual that is min/fin/biotin combined. Here is a photo right after procedure and the bottom is the morning of procedure. January 2023. The picture in the OP is today. Senior Member Shadman Posted July 28 Senior Member Share Posted July 28 @niners this actually looks terrible work. Being a repair patient, I understand what you're going through. Terrible grafts distribution. Rather than disturbing all over should've focused on the frontal portion. Prior to your procedure did you take any medicine? And could you please add details that combined pill has what mg of fin, min ? 𝐄𝐮𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐱 / 𝐃𝐫. Regular Member baddecisions Posted July 28 Regular Member Share Posted July 28 Mentioning who did this horrible transplant is not, as you said, free promotion but rather a way to help readers (current and future ones) to avoid such a mediocre doctor/clinic.

Still processing that as I type this. I took minoxidil for a year and a half topically before this. The Manual all in one Capsule is 2.5mg minoxidil and 1mg finasteride and 10mg Biotin. Senior Member HappyMan2021 Posted July 28 Senior Member Share Posted July 28 @niners you absolutely should be sharing the name of the doctor and clinic. Any doctor who advises a patient to not take DHT blockers for some fear-mongering aspect....their mind is somewhere else to say the least Sharing the doctor who did this poor result and their weird attitude towards Fin is certainly not brining them promotion, quite the opposite. Please share.
Moderators Al - Moderator Posted July 28 Moderators Share Posted July 28 You needed at least double the amount of grafts that were transplanted to give you any kind of decent density all over and even with that amount would probably need another surgery to add density. Wait a few more months to see how much growth you get and then start looking at other Drs and get a few consultations.
