Sado
Hi there, I'm thinking about my next transplant (this time beard to beard), so I decided to share my previous results. About me and my hair loss: Right now I'm around 30. I started losing my hair since I was a kid, probably 9 or something - my hair turned blonde on the front sides and I got receding hair around 11 which was clearly visible around 13. I was bald in front around 20. So - since the start I knew i was gonna lose my hair (almost all men in family are bald) and I told myself I'll have a HT sometime in the future. Time passed, hair fell and I finally decided to do something. Luckily, my hair wall falling out, but not drastically - it took years, so balding progress was visible, but not sudden. And I had great experience for many years in covering my bald parts with longer hair. Eventually, I started with medication - finasteride + topical minoxidil, then got side effects, changed it into self-made topical finasteride in minoxidil mixture and decided to make HT. I read this forum and some polish forums about HTs to pick some clinic, got depressed about prices and results, but finally made it. I chose Turkey, a clinic with a lot of nice results looking on the pictures sent on the polish forums - Aestepool, dr Ahmed Altan. Before HT: I was little bit scared, after all my option was low budget (in 2022 I paid something around 2 200 €) Turkey clinic - but the consultation in Poland was good. First in my city, then in capitol, checked with microscope, discussed about density, etc. - for sure it made me calmer. Then i flied to Istambul, had a nice hotel and a driver that took care of me included, I won't go into details here, I think it's quite common for Turkey clinics. HT: 7:45 Driver arrived. I had huge breakfast before, so with my motion sickness it was not a great decision. There was another guy in the car, also appointed for a HT that day. ~9:00 We arrived in the clinic (it looked like a hub with a few clinics, but I'm not sure), I was the first one to go for consultations. Comfy talk, paper work, medication talk (It turned out that one of the commons antibiotics given after the treatment is the one I'm allergic to, so we discussed about replacement), blood check, drawing the line and discussing it - in the end I let to doctor decide for me. 10:00 Shaving my head, anesthesia, 2 technicians took the grafts from my head. Funny feeling, I kinda liked it. ~13:30 End of phase one and beginning of phase two. Doctor came and started to make cuts (this was agreed in the beginning that this phase will be directly made by the doctor). In the middle of it I fell asleep and when I woke up near the end I appeared that one of the technician replaced the doctor in some moment. It made me feel unconformable as it was not something we agreed on, but I didn't complaint at that moment - I discussed about it after treatment. I was informed that it was only for a moment, for not the critical ones and made by the most experienced technician. 15:30 Dinner. 16:00 Last phase. 2 or 3 technicians, not sure. It was the least pleasant one, especially that anesthesia was getting weaker near the end. I got another doses, but even with them - I felt biting pain - slight, but annoying. 19:50 The end. I was exhausted. Got painkillers and driver took me to the hotel. 20:50 Hotel. I took second painkiller and went to sleep with a towel under my neck to prevent any contect between my head and the bed. I woke up a lot - position was not comfy and my back was killing my after 10 hours treatment. After HT: Next way I had breakfast, arrived in the clinic for a check with doctor i was shown how I should clean my head, got all the medication with shampoos and driver took to me the airport for a flight back to Poland. For 2 weeks I was staying in home, very carefully behaving when it comes to any contact with my head. Results: I took pictured every month (with some higher frequency in the beginning. I uplaoded some of them below. I am happy that I decided to go there. My hairline is just how I wanted it to be, my donor was not overharvested - of course is not so dense, but I always knew I will need a second HT in the future. With my current hairstyle I pretty good cover less denser areas and I think it looks very natural. Before HT: During HT: 15 days: 1 month: 2 months: 3 months: 4 months: 5 months: 6 months: 7 months: 8 months: 9 months: 10 months: 12 months: Edited July 21 by Sado Sorting images

Let me ask you what was the cost of your hair transplant with dr altan ? 2 years ago I paid something around 2300 € (including driver, medication and 2 nights in hotel, but I wanted to visit a little bit of Istambul, so they extended it to 3 without charging me). Price was for the whole transplant, not per graft.
Sado
Hello everyone. It's been almost 2 years, so I'm sharing with my current results. I'm really happy with them - of course there still some areas that needs some more density, especially top and some of the middle - but with this haircut they are almost perfectly hidden. Medication: 0,5 dutasteride 5x in a week. Hair loss situation: ongoing, a lot of hair falls out, but i don't see big progress in my receding. Next treatments: probably a transplant in 1-2 years to fill middle and top to increase density, I suppose 2000-2500 grafts to leave something to increase density when more hair will fall out. Also I will have a beard transplant soon which i plan to share with you here.
Regular Member Idan Posted 16 hours ago Regular Member Share Posted 16 hours ago Amazing, congrats that’s really impressive. I’ve that you have pictures with a design including the temples, but eventually you did a transplant without it. Can you explain why?
