MikeGreo
I was wondering if there has every been any laser resurfacing treatments like LaseMD, to erase the scars left by FUE? Has anybody done this that you know of? Wouldn't that work to eliminate the scars?
Valued Contributor Gatsby Posted July 9 Valued Contributor Share Posted July 9 Laser will not eliminate scars from surgery such as a hair transplant. SMP would give a better result. All the best! MikeGreo
I know that SMP is the norm. But I don't think SMP is an ideal solution. There is literature to suggest lasers can offer benefit. I thought that the scars were very tiny so shouldn't be too difficult. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK539686/#:~:text=Ablative laser resurfacing%2C with CO2,or even immediately after surgery. "Ablative laser resurfacing, with CO2 or Er: YAG lasers, is effective for traumatic and surgical scars, especially when resurfaced within 6 to 10 weeks after trauma or surgery or even immediately after surgery".
