Normal, Shock Loss, Or Over Harvesting

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I got 2800 grafts taken out from my donor. Its 16th day after the DHI FUE Non-Shave procedure.
Day 1 after OP is with bandage so I have hairs on the sides it wasn't looking good so I trimmed it to 2mm on day 3.

So maybe is it because there is a length mismatch the donor was trimmer to lowest and I trimmed the sides to 2mm so they grew faster?

Day 13 that bottom line, I trimmed it after this picture hence its not there in day 16.

Do you have any immediate post op pics of the donor? Anyway it's too early to tell. Just let the donor do it's thing and heal and let everything grow out. All the best!

Here's the pictures of donor

As the others have said, it's super early to tell, and you need to give it some time. However, upon seeing the immediate post-op pictures, I can see that the bottom part of the extraction zone looks kind of overharvested

I thought some of the extractions were taken too high.

Did you mean they extracted more than 2800 grafts or They extracted from the unsafe zone?

Yes, possibly both over-harvested and some temporary shockloss…and also some extractions taken too high above the safe zone.
