Regular Member DUPAman Posted June 24 Regular Member Share Posted June 24 I'm allergic to oral antibiotics as in they will cause dysbiosis, leaky gut, and other terrible things. Might even cause c. diff. So I would really like to take only topical and for a short time. Can anyone recommend any. I know every clinic has its own protocol, but maybe I get could my own ahead of time and let the surgeon know. Would this be a problem? Any recommendations? I appreciate any and all advice, gents. Senior Member Chrisno Posted June 24 Senior Member Share Posted June 24 You need to discuss this with your surgeon. We aren't trained medical professionals on this forum. Senior Member Matthias Posted August 25 Senior Member Share Posted August 25 Topical antibiotics may be cancer-inducing. I also had no oral antibiotics at all during FUE due to being allergic to a certain one in the past. FUT would be more critical. Exactly ^ I insisted to take them but I know Dr Ball/TMC where I got my repairs is not pushing oral antibiotics, rather having a fully sterile environment as defense against infection Mind you this is for FUE only, not FUT Edited August 26 by Paul_ Two successful repairs (pluggy hairline removal + donor restoration) with Dr Ball - The Maitland Clinic https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/72766-pluggy-hairline-removal-donor-restocking-2-repairs-with-dr-ball-maitland-clinic/
Moderators Al - Moderator Posted August 29 Moderators Share Posted August 29 Some Drs have stopped giving antibiotics after a hair transplant as they believe it's no longer needed. You should ask Drs that you are researching what their policy is on that. Al Forum Moderator (formerly BeHappy) I am a paid forum moderator for hairrestorationnetwork.com.
