Regular Member mero1748 Posted June 14 Regular Member Share Posted June 14 Hello, I‘m 2 month post-op and the shedding so far was a slow progress within this time. 2 month post-op I‘m still losing hair, when I simply go through it. Is this normal in that time frame? As far as I was aware shedding is something that occurs in the first weeks. And after 2 months most of the hair should already have gone prepared to regrow at the 3 month mark. As you can see in the attached photos there are several hairs that didn‘t have shed so far, but also hair that is shedding. It looks more dense than it is in the light. I‘ve got only the temples got done. I have also a skin condition, probably dermatitis, which appeared again after 3-4 weeks post-op and I try to treat at the moment. Could this have an influence? I often read that after 14 days grafts are mostly safe. How would you rate the situation, do you think everything is according to the usual plan or could there be any concerns? Valued Contributor A_4_Archan Posted June 15 Valued Contributor Share Posted June 15 Shedding can take place upto 3 months and it is not that each and every hair will fall off..some hairs might not shed as well...so don't worry and let the time pass by... 1 Check Out My Hair Transplant Journey --> My Thread 3611 FUE Grafts With Dr Kongkiat Laorwong | Norwood 5 | 2nd May 2023

Regular Member mero1748 Posted June 15 Author Regular Member Share Posted June 15 Thanks guys. I really have underestimated this “ugly duckling“ period. Not because of the optical aspect which I was very aware of, but more because of the psychological aspect and the insecurities and questions that arises within this period if everything will go well. Can be quiet stressful.

Can be quiet stressful. Yes. It can be very stressful watching more hair fall out than before you even had the hair transplant. With shock loss you can often look much worse in the few months after than you did before. It's tough to get through, but we all make it. It will get better.
