Senior Member BigBill1234 Posted June 8, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted June 8, 2009 Well, I am 10 months post op and not very happy with my transplant. I don't know if I didn't have enough density or if it is angled wrong. My hairs up front seem to all be sticking straight up. What do you guys think? Dr. Timothy Carman
Bill- If I recall correctly you had bilateral recessions filled- correct? It is hard to say based on the photo- It sounds from what you describe that there may be an angle issue; again hard to tell from the photo- Some "settling down" of the grafts (maturation as they grow in the initial year) may affect this characteristic you describe. Ultimately, if the angles created for the grafts are a bit too steep, it is a correctable situation, especially in view that the hairline is a conservative one. We have been successful in placing grafts at the correct angle in those areas which will (in most cases) make that issue less apparent. Can you get someone to take a better pic???
