Regular Member Unbrokenlink Posted June 4 Regular Member Share Posted June 4 I had my second transplant on the front of my head Aug 17 2023. The usual shock loss was exhibited and then around the 3/4 mo the growth really started. It was pretty strong and I was relatively happy with the results. And then about 3 weeks or so give or take I noticed it’s gotten thin again. I can’t tell what was transplanted or original hair at this point but I feel like a blend of both. Im 9.5 mo in now and feeling quite down and out about it. It’s super frustrating. I’m on oral and topical minox and any other otc supplements you can try. I can’t do fin because the sides. It just doesn’t work for me. Looking for any feedback. Thx team
Senior Member ITA Posted June 4 Senior Member Share Posted June 4 It happened to me too and it never recovered, on the contrary it always got worse and I never understood why', I hope things will go differently for you.
Regular Member Daniel2727 Posted June 4 Regular Member Share Posted June 4 The transplanted hair undergoes several cycles (anagen, catagen, telogen) in the first 12 months, which is why it falls out. After 12 to 18 months, the whole process has normalized to such an extent that they no longer differ from the native hairs
Senior Member ClaireB Posted June 4 Senior Member Share Posted June 4 This may be due to anagen (de)synchronization. 🧑🏽⚕️ Help others by naming your clinic and surgeon, in your post title if possible. 💊 Help yourself by directing medical questions to medical professionals.
