Eric Rodriguez
As a 28 year old with extreme hair loss, my self-confidence has increasingly decreased over my 20’s. Hair loss runs deep in my family genetics and based on patterns, I was set to have full crown baldness at the age of 30. While others may embrace their baldness, this was not something I envisioned for myself. Alas, I decided to take the dive and began the research for the right doctor…one that was going to be INVESTED in my results and not just see me as a cash cow. With the privilege of living in the LA greater metropolitan area, I knew I was privileged to have the best of the best doctors within my vicinity. After thorough review of other patient reviews online, I found Dr. Sean Behnam. Immediately as I researched his background, reviewed his accolades and contributions to the global industry, I knew that I would be in good hands. Dr. Sean immediately radiated a positive and passionate energy upon my first consultation. He knows his stuff and most importantly he was determined to help me achieve the results I wanted for myself. I proved to be a unique and extreme case in not only the extent of hair loss for my age, but unfortunately I also did not have a lot of donor hair. Plenty of doctors told me that I would not have enough donor hair to cover my full crown to front hairline and told me to settle for just filling in the crown and mid-hairline. Contrary to every other consultant, Dr. Sean ambitiously encouraged me to strive for more and shoot for full hairline restoration rather than just the crown as other doctors were recommending. “If you’re going to get a hair transplant—let’s do it right and focus on the front hairline too,” Dr. Sean told me. Upon this moment, I knew Dr. Sean was the right choice for me. He knew the surgery was going to be extremely challenging given my current hair condition but he was determined to help me make my dreams a reality. 2 procedures later, over 22 hours later and 6080 grafts later, I am happy to report that Dr. Sean and his team were successfully able to implant grafts all the way up to my former front hairline—something that I have not seen grow in over 5 years! Fortunately despite little donor hair on the side of my head, my extremely full and thick beard proved to be excellent donor hair candidates to help me transplant enough hair to reach my front hairline! Dr. Sean extracted about 1400 grafts from my beard; the most he’s ever extracted from ANY patient in his over 12 year hair transplant career! The remaining grafts of the 6070 grafts were extracted from the sides of my head. I am currently on day 4 post my second procedure and recovery has been smooth! You’ll notice how quickly the beard has recovered and will notice that beard hair (so long as you have very thick hair) is a great candidate if you do not have a lot of donor hair! Dr. Sean mentioned that no other doctor would ever dare to work with beard hair for transplants but he ambitiously took the challenge with great optimism. This is how all surgeons should be!!! Even beyond surgery Dr. Sean takes the time to check in with me every single day and meets with me once a week to ensure that my recovery is on the path to success. All in all, I am extremely satisfied with my results and look forward to full growth after a year. I will continue to report back with progress photos but 100% recommend working with Dr. Sean as your hair transplant surgeon. He is the best of the best and you will not regret it. In an industry that is driven by profit margins, it is easy to get scammed with a clinic and doctor that is not truly invested in each of their patients’ results, but rest assured Dr. Sean Behnam is world-class at his craft; book with him today! I definitely want to follow this one. Al Forum Moderator (formerly BeHappy) I am a paid forum moderator for hairrestorationnetwork.com.
