Shedding Hairs and donor area is red

Recommended Posts

I am 25 years old and work as a website developer. It's been 22 days since I had my FUE hair transplant surgery, and 12 days since my last head wash. My doctor mentioned that the transplanted hairs would fall out, but they are falling out with a black part at the bottom (I'm not sure if it's the root).

Is this normal?

Also, my donor area looks red now.

It's all going to shed. That's normal. It's also normal to be red for a while. The redness can last a few months in some cases. Wash your head!

i am still feeling numbness on my head how much time it takes to become normal and do you guys had any PRP session with in the first 8 to 12 months?
My doctor recommended me the PRP session after 2 to 3 month of my hair transplant.

Numbness can last a few months. You may get some tingling or itchiness too for a while. As for PRP, I'm not a big fan of it. I don't think it's totally useless, but I don't think the cost at most places is worth any possibly minor improvements, but that's my opinion. I guess it really depends on how much money they want to charge you. If the cost is minimal then it may be worth doing it.

This ๐Ÿ‘†

I took 3 prp sessions but the cost of prp in india is cheap(roughly around 50 USD per session) plus being into medical field i know many doctors personally so i had all the session for free...so why not have it when it is free ๐Ÿ˜€

From my experience it can help a bit but if the cost is very high than its not worth. Plus you can take your surgeon's opinion about it.ย

@A_4_Archanย that's really good for you.
in my case i have first prp included in my hair transplant package so i don't have to pay for that, and i am from pakistan it is more cheaper here in my clinic, around $35 per session

For $35 its fine to give it a shot..even if it doesn't work very well for it,it won't harm you in any way...though you cn take opinion of your surgeon..

Yeah if it's cheap enough I would try it.
