searcher78
I had a procedure done by Dr James Vogel on 12/19/08 which involved over 1200 grafts and substantial plug reduction recycling. My previous donor scar was relatively wide so Dr Vogel was going to solve this problem as well with a tricophytic closure. My previous procedure was poorly done and resulted in pluggy/pitted grafts in large groupings (4-7 hairs). I am two days out and couldn't be happier. While I won't start to see growth for a few months, I can already tell how much better the procedure was done! The plugs are gone and as soon as the scabs heal, I'm sure this area will look ten times better. And once the hair starts to grow in, it will look even better. Dr Vogel and his staff were very curteous, pleasant, and professional. The procedure was painless and over before I knew it. I have experienced no pain thus far and the donor area feels less traumatic/scarred than it did before the procedure. In addition, Dr Vogel called and left me a voicemail that evening to check in and express his pleasure with the results of the procedure. To say I'm impressed is an understatement. I will be posting before and after pictures, in addition to keeping you updated as the new hair grows in. I strongly recommend Dr Vogel to anyone considering hair restoration! Regular Member dafuzz Posted December 30, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted December 30, 2008 Hey searcher, I was at Dr. Vogel's office the same day as you. How's that for coincidence? My situation was not as serious as yours as my last procedure was done by an excellent doctor. The reason for the change was that Dr. Vogel was willing to be a little more aggressive with my hairline than my last surgeon. Besides that, he has a way of carrying himself that makes you feel confident that you are in good hands. Anyway, I am now about 10 days out from 1100 grafts and the results are astounding. My crusts and redness are already gone and the sutures are healing well. I just have this feeling that things are going to turn out great. Anyone who is looking for a surgeon in the Baltimore/DC area should at least meet with Dr. Vogel. He and his staff are really friendly and they are very concerned about a great result. Good luck searcher78, I too will post pics and updates.
ron d
Most offices are very friendly and caring . The true test is if the hair grows and you are satified with end results.
Bill - Seemiller
Given Coalition member Dr. Vogel's strong credentials and dedication to first-rate hair transplant surgery, I expect the result to be as high quality as the experience. Congratulations searcher78. I hope you'll create a hair loss weblog to document your progress with photos. Best wishes, Bill
