TheHairGuy2
On the web site of surgeon Resul Yaman, it says: "Don’t exercise or raise your blood pressure for the first two weeks after the operation. After a month, you can exercise lightly, and after three months, you can return to your normal routine." Three months??? This would ruin all my gains! What do you think happens if you start before that? Say after one month. Would it affect the hair follicles? I do powerlifting.
Valued Contributor Gatsby Posted April 20, 2023 Valued Contributor Share Posted April 20, 2023 Every doctor will have their own recommendations and I would go by your surgeon. But for FUE you can go back to the gym between one to two weeks. FUT is a different story and will take longer in order to prevent stretching the donor scar. All the best. Regular Member duckling Posted April 20, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted April 20, 2023 Don't think 3 months break is needed for FUE. It's way too long a gap. You can go to gym after a month and do regular exercises. Probably skip the heavy weightlifting part for some time. and after workouts make sure to clean your scalp gently with water to remove any scalp buildup to make sure that growth of follicles isn't affected due to an irritated scalp. And then just dab the scalp with a micro-fiber towel.
