NBA1622
26M, I had a large 3700 fue hair transplant before but the results were not that good. The chose a hairline too low, wrong angled, doubles and triples in hairline and low density. Im in need a repair hair transplant and I need some help in deciding between 2 clinics, Eugenix and Dr. Luis Nader Medical. I recently just learned that even under the Super premium package, neither Dr. Sethi or Bansal are doing extractions anymore. This package only includes planning, designing and slit making but not any extractions or implantations. This means that the technicians will be extracting and implanting. With a donor area that already has a large fue procedure done before, I am not sure if I can trust the technicians to avoid any further overharvesting. Comparatively, Dr. Luis Nader does the planning, designing, slit making, extractions and implantations (along with an assistant.) However, I have not heard of Dr. Nader doing any repair work. On the other hand, there are a lot of previous repair work cases done by Dr. Sethi and Dr. Bansal. But because of the change in packaging, I am not sure if the repair work will be done to the same expectations. Can you guys provide your insight as to who I should go with? If you guys can recommend any other Repair work doctors in the $3-4 USD range please let me know. Thanks Edited April 17, 2023 by NBA1622

NBA1622
I’m scheduled with Dr. Nader for may. He had about a year wait list. Seems like eugenix isn’t as hands on anymore, even with their top packages, so I didn’t want to risk it. Dr. Nader on the other hand, is very meticulous with donor management and being involved in every step. He discussed having one or 2 procedures to address everything, utilizing beard hair as well. Excited to see how it goes, will post thorough post procedure details after may. Hopefully everything goes well, and I can put this behind me.
Senior Member mrmane85 Posted August 14, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted August 14, 2023 Great choice. What is the strategy from Dr Nader regarding the low hairline, misangled grafts and doubles/triples? Any plans to remove any of these grafts? Senior Member RTC Posted August 14, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted August 14, 2023 Nader has a good repair case on Reddit. He seems like a solid choice Hattingen September 2023 - Punchouts
Senior Member Z-- Posted August 14, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted August 14, 2023 Agreed - great choice! Nader has more involvement, and I haven't read any reports on him here or elsewhere where he leaves his patients out to dry.
NBA1622
REPAIR CASE with Dr. Nader : Previous transplant "4000" grafts. Just had the repair last month. Will provide a more detailed write later on. Dr. Nader is a class act. Never met someone so compassionate and ethical. We had a 30-40 min talk on Day 1 to go over the game plan and address my concerns. This was a repair case that had a lot going on. Very low hairline, low density and filled with doubles/triples. I have diffuse hairloss throughout the scalp, has been stable with meds during last 3 years, since previous transplant. I have some personal obligations and had to also go the no shave route, but it didn't seem to matter much to him. He did mention that we could even possibly keep the donor area unshaven, in order to truly disguise any signs of transplant post op, but I was fine with a shaven donor area. He drew an appropriate hairline. Drew in some boxes, and calculated how many grafts we would need to fill in frontal 3rd. We focused on zone 1 and 2, part of 3 during this session. Once I was happy, we started. Broad overview: Dr. Nader was able to harvest 2250 scalp grafts and 470 beard grafts. He also raised my previously transplanted hairline about 1-2 cm, so he was able to reuse 250 of those grafts. Donor area 1 month out actually looks pretty good. Dr. Nader initially wanted to do 1-200 test grafts with beard, but I wanted to be a bit more ambitious and so we settled on 500 from neck area. So far the forehead fue punchouts have healed very well. Very little scarring, will continue to improve. Will update everything at once during 6 month period with photos. There is a plan to have one more surgery to address midscalp and crown. Dr. Nader still thinks my donor has some more ammunition. Estimating about 1700 or potentially more. As a last resort he mentioned we can go on to the nape or other body hair such as chest or limbs. He did mention that he has performed large surgeries with some patients (about 10,000 scalp grafts over 3-4 surgeries). It seems his donor management skills are truly excellent. So far, I am giving minoxidil another try on the crown, and continuing with my microdosing propecia regime. Will add weekly microneedling to crown as well and reassess the need for the 2nd surgery. Being pretty young, I would want to hold off hopefully until 30 for another session, but we'll see. Hoping for the best.
Regular Member BeardedArbor Posted June 18 Regular Member Share Posted June 18 Great job in going to Nader. He seems like a class act in addition to being a top flight surgeon. How long did it take to book with him, and how much per graft is he charging?
