Regular Member TheManeMan Posted April 7, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted April 7, 2023 (edited) Hi guys, It's 11 days since my HT and the healing appears to be going very well. People have said the work looks clean, however one person said there looks to be a slight disconnect between the left temple and the hair behind it. Can you guys see this from the photos? I did notice it myself before they mentioned it when the light shines on that side of my head. What is the standard protocol regarding how far back to bring the transplanted hair into the native zone? Also, is it normal for the transplanted hair to feel coarser than it did in the donor zone? Does it soften up? Thanks in advance for your consideration. Edited April 7, 2023 by TheManeMan
Valued Contributor A_4_Archan Posted April 8, 2023 Valued Contributor Share Posted April 8, 2023 Don't seems to be that apart....i have seen this in many cases and once the native and transplanted hair grows they get blend well together ....so i don't think you will have any issues with that.. And now you only have an option that is to wait and watch..so please do that and stop cherry picking things which are negative ....and i hope you are on medication ...Happy growing and keep updating .. Regular Member jay80 Posted April 8, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted April 8, 2023 Doesn't seem to be any real disconnect. There will naturally be some space between native and transplanted hair, but yours is almost invisible, will not be noticeable at all when it grows. Transplanted hair will feel coarser in the new position. Mine felt like astroturf

Mine felt like astroturf Yes it's like astroturf indeed lol I'd like it to be unnoticeable while having a buzzcut too as there is no disconnect on the righthand side. I will let it grow and see.
