55 DAYS Post OP still shedding and might have lost a graft.

Hello,

I am 55 days Post Op, today I took a shower and was massaging my scalp with shampoo the doctor gave me and I was still shedding and not only that I think a graft fell off , find attached pictures of the graft.

At 55 days postop, it is almost impossible to lose a graft, unless you had surgery to remove it. Also, if you aren’t seeing blood where the hairs have come from, then you are likely just seeing transplanted hair shedding, which is very typical between 4 to 6 weeks.… which is exactly where you are 55 days after surgery.  My story short, it sounds like you’re exactly where you should be at the stage. It does appear that you still have some postoperative redness/information. You may want to speak to your clinic about that and see what they say. Obviously this can occur for many months afterwards but sometimes there are different topicals that the clinic will recommend or even prescribe to aid in it’s healing.
