When did you first grow your hair out after surgery?

For those of us that kept their hair buzzed during the ugly duckling phase, when did you finally decide that you were comfortable enough to try growing it out?

After the 3rd month mark, I began growing out the top, have not touched it since, just getting an undercut for the sides.

Nice! This Sunday marks the start of month 4 for me. I'm definitely starting to see growth but I think I'm going to wait another 2 months. Was there anything specific that you were looking for prior to taking the leap?

I buzzed my head on day 10. I just made sure that my barber had sharp clippers that weren't going to "tug" on any of the hairs.

I think a lot of people keep their hair relatively short or even shaved for the first couple months after their hair transplant. I kept shaving mine down to a number three or four clip until about the fifth month when I started to grow it out.  But even then, I kept it relatively short until somewhere between 8 to 10 months post-op.  In my opinion, between 8 to 10 months is when hair transplant results really start to show for most patients.  But of course, this varies for everybody.
