Hair Transplant Questions!! 30 year old Male - Australia

Recommended Posts

Hey guys!

I've been considering a hair transplant now for over 2-3 years. My commitment has been very hot and cold. I would research heavily for 3 months and then forget all about it for another 3 months and this has been going on for a while. I've read and researched a lot of posts over the years and I've gathered enough evidence to suggest having one done locally in Australia is just not worth it. I've seen posts from fellow Australians going to Dr Laorwong and Dr Path in Thailand, and plenty of Turkish recommendations also. I'm at the stage of my life where financially I can afford to go anywhere but that's where I'm so confused and pathless!! I'm not sure where to go! I've attached photos and hoping someone could suggest a good place for my style of hairloss AND maybe a graft estimate? Thankfully I believe my donor area is quite thick and full, it's just my widows peak and receding hairline that has been bothering me for years.

I've tried Finasteride once for 6 months but unfortunately I'm one of the small percentage that experienced side effects and had to stop. I've also tried minoxidil in the past but I never committed because my level of hairloss wouldnt be restored with minoxodil so I would lose motivation to apply it all the time.

You're good candidate with very strong donor, probably need around 2500-2800 grafts by these photos, you're welcome to contact me if you intrested in consultation with HDC clinic, we afford afford affordable prices for Dr. Maras and Dr. Christina.

Can refer you to our Australian paitents.

what norwood status are your older male relatives? what are your expectations?

My dad and all my uncles on my dads side are Norwood 7. At my age my dad and uncles were already a Norwood 5-6.

My expectations are pretty reasonable I just want to reduce the appearance of the receding hairline and widows peak.

Firstly @maffewq congratulations on not falling for having surgery here in Australia. As has been stated you appear from your pics to have a good donor. Remember that MPB is progressive and with Norwood 7 members in your family you should bare that in mind. Are you saying you are only concerned with the frontal third hairline and widow's peak to be restored? Over the lifespan your hair will continue to miniaturize due to your genes without medication. You could look at doctors such as HDC, Dr Path or Dr Laorwong in Thailand. But as you have to fly you are not limited and can look at the forum's list of recommended doctors. Have a look at patients who have a similar hair loss as yourself with results that you are in line with your goals. Wishing you all the best!
